Iwa Moto, currently starring in Magdusa Ka with Dennis Trillo and Katrina Halili, has declared bankruptcy after paying for her hospital bills for her recent internal bleeding and other expenses. "Ngayon pa lang ulit ako magsisimulang mag-ipon," says Iwa.

Pinag-react ng nagsidatingang media people sa press conference ng Magdusa Ka si Iwa Moto. Tinanong kasi siya kung masasabi ba niyang malayo na ang narating niya kumpara sa mga kasamahan niya sa StarStruck 3, lalo na sa tinanghal na Ultimate Female Survivor na si Jackie Rice.



Maagap naman sa pagsagot si Iwa na hindi naman dapat gawan pa sila ng isyu ni Jackie at ng iba pa niyang mga kasabayan.



"Alam n'yo, wala naman kasing isyu. ‘Eto, ha, mula umpisa, hindi ko iniisip na feeling-sikat ako. Hindi ko inilalagay sa utak ko yun. Basta ako, ginagawa ko lang kung ano ang trabaho ko. Kung may trabaho, e, di meron. Kung wala, e, di wala," kibit-balikat niyang sabi.



Si Iwa rin mismo ang nagsabi na magkaibigan daw silang dalawa ni Jackie. In fact, magka-text nga raw sila at pareho sila ng interes sa pagte-train ng boxing.



Hindi naman itinanggi ni Iwa na there are times na napag-uusapan daw nila ni Jackie ang mga nangyayari sa kani-kanilang career.



"Si Jackie, sinasabi naman niya na masaya siya para sa akin. At saka mahal ko yun, bunso namin siya."



Idinepensa rin niya sa isyung pasaway raw si Jackie.



Aniya, "Hindi naman siya pasaway. Nagkataon lang na mas bata siya sa akin at mas nag-isip ako kung ano ang ikabubuti ko. Sa kanya, nag-isip din naman siguro siya, yun nga lang, hindi naging perfect yung plano niya.



"Hindi naman lahat ng tao, perfect. Yung pinaplano natin, nagkaka-totoo. At saka, ayokong mag-away kami ni Jackie dahil magkaibigan kami," pakiusap pa ni Iwa.



JUST WANT WORK. Samantala, hindi raw niya inisip na aabot sa ganitong stage ng kanyang career na magiging pangunahing kontrabida siya sa isang show na tulad ng Magdusa Ka.



"Na-imagine ko lang, nagtatrabaho lang ako ng maayos, ‘yun lang. Alam mo, even before noong Bakekang days, masaya na ‘ko na hindi ako yung bida, eh. Masaya na ‘ko na kahit ano lang ako, extra or support, masaya na ‘ko basta may work lang.



"Kaya ngayon, sinasabi ko sa mga kaibigan ko, hindi ko naman wini-wish na maging sikat ako or na maging bida ako or whatever. Ang wish ko lang talaga, magtuluy-tuloy.



"Kasi siyempre may sinusuportahan akong pamilya, kaya naman ngayon, suportado ko na silang lahat!" natatawa pa niyang sabi.



Siya pa rin daw ang nagpapaaral sa dalawang kapatid niya. Isang nasa college at isang nasa elementary. Tungkuling inako niya mula nang sumali siya sa StarStruck.



"Masaya na ‘ko, eh. Masaya na ‘ko na nabibili ko ang gusto ng mga kapatid ko. Nabibili ko ng gamit ang mga kapatid ko at nasusunod ko mga luho nila.



"So, to be honest, nagtatrabaho ‘ko, hindi para sa akin. Not for my mom, not for my dad, kundi para sa mga kapatid ko."



BACK TO SCRATCH. Natatawa rin niyang ikinuwento na matapos niyang maipagawa ang bahay nila, makabili ng sariling sasakyan, at sumabay pa nga rito ang pagkaka-ospital niya at pagpapa-opera dahil sa internal bleeding na nangyari sa kanya, bankrupt na raw siya at naubos daw ang pera niya sa sabay-sabay na naging bayarin niya.



"Kaya ‘eto, ngayon pa lang ulit ako magsisimulang mag-ipon."



Sa huli, pinasubalian nga ni Iwa ang mga intriga sa kanila ng bida ng Magdusa Ka na si Katrina Halili. Natutuwa nga raw siya nang sabihin ni Katrina na siya lang daw ang nakikita ni Kat na puwedeng humalili sa pagganap niya noon sa mga contravida roles.



"Masaya ‘ko...natutuwa akong talaga. Idol ko rin ‘yang si Kat. Alam n'yo yung napatunayan niya na kahit hindi siya ang nanalo, nandyan pa rin siya sa puwesto niya ngayon, ‘yan ang gusto kong sundan." PEP

"Mabait po si Iwa, kaibigan ko po yung tao. Huwag niyo po kaming pag-awayin," says Katrina Halili, who was reportedly offended by Iwa Moto's remark on her previous roles as kontrabida.

Iwa Moto defended herself for the comment she gave to Katrina. The StarStruck alumna allegedly said that Katrina does not fit in a lead role, which the former will be playing in her next project Magdusa Ka.



In a taped interview with Startalk yesterday, April 26, the young actress clarified, "Na-misinterpret lang po siguro nila ako kasi ang pinapalabas ko po doon, ang sinasabi ko po doon na si Katrina, when you see her, ang makikita nyo po muna sa kanya is not Katrina Halili. Ang unang maiisip mo sa kanya, 'di ba, Angelica [Katrina's role in Marimar]. Yung parang ang character niya sa sobrang effective niya doon sa Marimar."



She reiterated, "Hindi bagay ang role niya bilang isang mabait na bida. Hindi masama dahil effective siya as kontrabida."



Iwa was sure that Katrina would take no offense about her remark because, "Si Katrina kaibigan ko po siya. Sa mga nagpapaaway sa amin, bahala sila sa buhay nila."



She also reminded the media how open she was to them. Iwa told Startalk, "Kapag kaaway ko, sinasabi ko naman po sa inyo na kaaway ko yung tao. Hindi naman ako magtatago ng feelings ko. Ako, kilala nyo naman ako ever since StarStruck. Open naman ako sa mga nararamdaman ko."



KATRINA' REACTION. Meanwhile, in a brief live interview with Katrina, it showed that Iwa was right that her friend would not take her comment seriously.



"Magkaibigan po kami [ni Iwa], magkapatid po kami," described Katrina about her relationship with fellow StarStruck hopeful.



The young actress also pleaded, "Mabait po si Iwa, kaibigan ko po yung tao. Huwag nyo po kaming pag-awayin.

On the other hand, to those who still do not believe in her capabilities as an actress, Katrina could only say, "Sabi ko nga po hindi naman lahat ng tao mapi-please ko na maniwala sila sa akin na kaya ko rin po. Kasi four years po, lahat ng roles ko kontrabida po."



In the upcoming telenovela titled Magdusa Ka, Katrina will play the role of the leading lady for the first time, while Iwa will be the kontrabida. Iwa's character in Joaquin Bordado was killed to free up her schedule for Magdusa Ka. PEP

Nancy Castiglione (born Nancy Jane Jimenez Castiglione on February 24, 1981 in Canada) is a Filipina actress, model and host of Italian and Filipino heritage. Her mother is Filipina and her father is a Canadian citizen of Italian descent.

Early life

Nancy grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and took up Political Science at the University of Manitoba for two years.

Career

While vacationing in Manila, Philippines in 2001, Nancy was spotted by talent casters who got her to appear in television ads such as Nestle Yogurt, Red Horse and Piattos. Eventually, Nancy entered the Philippine show business. She has become one of the sought-after endorsors. Some of the brands she has endorsed are Bobson and Hang Ten Cosmetics Fragrances. She is currently the endorsor of Unica Hija and So-en. Has her initials "NC" tattoed on her hand by Butch Bautista.


Nancy's auspicious beginnings in Philippine Showbiz started in the year 2000, when the pretty Balikbayan was on vacation from Canada. She was spotted at a mall by a talent scout and was invited to star in a Tv commercial. That one commercial for ( Red Horse Beer) a local brand of beer propelled her to modeling stardom. In no time, Nancy was on the cover of local magazines and was the most sought after model of the year.
Her next commercial for a yogurt brand made her a household face. Her warm smile won over millions of Filipinos and pretty soon she was guesting in Tv shows and was opening for the noontime variety show Magandang Tanghali Bayan twice a week .

GMA 7 quickly snatched her up and offered her a role in the successful long running soap, "Sana'y Ikaw Na Nga." Nancy won an award as best new female actress in the Star Awards for her role here.

But even before the Castiglione fever swept the country, Nancy was used to performing in front of an audience. She had formal classical music and theatrical music training and was part of the Philippine cultural dance group, Kayumangi. Not known to a lot of people, Nancy can dance the Tinikling, Pandanggo sa Ilaw, Wasiwas and Singkil among others.

Nancy took up Political science in the university of Manitoba. She was also the Philippine youth ambassador for Canada and Italy in the year 1977 .at present she is the Philippine education ambassador for Canada.

She became a GMA 7 exclusive talent and guested in almost all of the network's shows. Her debut movie role was opposite Piolo Pascual and Joyce Jimenez in " I Think I'm In Love; "for which she won another Star award for Best new female actress for Movies in the same year.

Nancy became a regular of "Kahit Kailan" after the previous lead actress and the former teen idol from the other network couldn't bring in the ratings for the show. When the show folded, Gma replaced it with Love 2 Love, which starred Nancy in the very 1st season and the show became a runaway smash!

Nancy's next role was in the soap Hanggang Kailan where she played a deaf mute. She had to learn sign language for the role. She also landed a role on Lagot Ka Isusumbong Kita , partnered with Cogie Domingo as the teen stars of the sitcom.

Love 2 Love picked her up again for another run during its 4th and 6 th seasons for a much needed ratings boost for the program. She then got the much coveted female host slot for the first ever reality based talent search tv show- STARSTRUCK. This is where her hosting skills went into overdrive and she became an in demand host as well as endorser during that time.

Nancy won for herself a generation of new fans- the kids when "Mulawin" debuted in 2004. Her "Muyak" character was reminiscent of Tinkerbell and it was so popular that "Muyak" was carried over to the sequel "Encantadia."


Nancy was also part of the Ayala malls production of Mulan, where she played the title role opposite, Greg Turvey. She was in April 2007's Luv Spell series with Toni Gonzaga and Zanjoe Marudo. And had a stint as a vj for Studio 23.

Nancy is Uno Magazine's 2nd sexiest woman in the Philippines for 2007 and is the brand new Gran Matador Brandy girl. She was also signed up by PLDT My DSL to be their "it" girl last December 2007. Nancy has also graced the cover of the following magazines in 2007: Motorcycle Mag, Speed, Uno, Girlfriend and Rogue.
