Dennis Trillo told Showbiz and Style that he enjoyed working with Heart Evangelista in their episode of 'Dear Friend' entitled Tsinoy.

Dennis Trillo will star in the TV adaptation of Carlo J. Caparas' komiks called Gagambino. This fantaserye will air on GMA-7 in replacement of Dyesebel.
From the fertile mind of Carlo J. Caparas comes another fantaserye that will show the unusual friendship between man and animals. Gagambino, in particular, depicts a young man named Bino who becomes close to an eight-feet tall spider.
Featuring Dennis Trillo in the title role, Gagambino will replace Dyesebel on GMA-7's primetime block. His two leading ladies are Nadine Samonte (who plays Celine) and Katrina Halili (whose character is Lucy). Dennis will be pitted against his archenemy Harold (played by Polo Ravales).
Reports say that Dennis learned three martial arts in preparation for his role as a superhero: wing chun, judo and kendo, a Japanese martial art of sword-fighting. He also underwent rigorous training to learn parkour, which translates to the art of movement.
"Para siyang wall climbing pero ina-apply mo sa totoong environment," says Dennis about parkour. "Na-iincorporate dun yung galaw ng spider. Siyempre, dito sa Gagambino, mala-spider yung galaw kaya dapat maka-akyat ka dun sa mga pader, sa mga dingding. Medyo agile siya at kailangan ang dexterity ng katawan.
"Kailangan malakas ang buong katawan mo basically, yung upper body mo, yung legs mo. Marami akong tama diyan [shows a bruise on his right arm] and pati sa shins marami akong tama diyan."
Writer-director Carlo Caparas says that the choice of Dennis as the lead character of Gagambino is "unprecedented and unexpected."
"Hindi iisip na si Dennis ang gaganap. E, yun ang element ng isang bagong proyekto na parang eksperimento, experimental kung tingnan nila, pero dyan nangggagaling ang mga malalaking blockbuster TV shows, na hindi nila inaasahan [kung sino] ang gaganap dun sa role," tells Direk Carlo to iGMA.

Dennis Trillo is extremely proud of his new GMA-7 series Gagambino that he wants his son Calix to at least catch a glimpse of the show every night. "Gusto ko mapanood niya kasi espesyal sa ‘kin ‘tong project na ‘to...kaya gusto ko masaksihan niya itong event na ‘to sa buhay ko," shared Dennis at the press conference of the mentioned series last night, October 13.
Gagambino lead star Dennis Trillo insists that he is single and very much available.
But after his well-publicized falling out with beauty queen Carlene Aguilar and abrupt romance with Cristine Reyes, Dennis expressed his desire to remain unattached for the moment to devote more time to his career and personal life.
Last night, October 13, at the press conference of GMA-7's upcoming fantaserye Gagambino held at the Studio 3 of GMA Network Center, the young actor's demeanor seems to suggest a firm resolve to live in the present and put his past relationships behind.
For one, Dennis flatly stressed that he and Cristine are no longer together and that there's no clandestine meetings going on between them as what the rumor suggests.
"Gusto ko ‘yong parteng ‘yon ng buhay ko tapos na. Kaya hindi ko na masyadong iniisip. Ngayon, ginagawa kong busy ‘yong sarili ko sa pagti-train, sa tapings, sa pagpu-promote ng mga shows," he said to the entertainment press.
His present relationship with Carlene, however, is way much different since they share a son together and it is important for both parties to maintain an open communication for Calix Andreas's sake.
Carlene looks happy nowadays and she's honest enough to admit that she has moved on and is looking forward to start anew.
FALLING FOR KATRINA. Other than the action scenes, Gagambino also features a handful of beauties like Jean Garcia, Nadine Samonte, Isabel Oli, Glaiza de Castro, Jennica Garcia, and Katrina Halili.
Being joined by a number of beautiful women might be too much to handle for a single guy like Dennis . Mixing action and romance, directors Topel Lee and Don Michael Perez included kissing scenes between Dennis and Katrina to keep the viewers even more interested.
Asked if he's open with the thought of falling for the two-time FHM Philippines' Sexiest Woman, Dennis said intriguingly: "Ayoko naman magsalita ng tapos, di ba? Pero alam mo na hindi natin masasabi ‘yong mga posibilidad dahil matagal pa kaming magsasama.
"Matagal pa ‘yong itatakbo nung show. Tingan na lang natin. Pero ngayon, mas focus ko talaga na pagandahin ‘tong Gagambino and hindi masyadong mag-concentrate sa love life."
Dennis praised Katrina for her work ethic and acknowledged their good rapport on and off cam.
"Ever since naman, magaan siyang katrabaho kasi seryoso din siya sa trabaho niya. Gusto niya ‘yong ginagawa niya and sa tingin ko, para maging successful ‘yong team-up ninyong dalawa, dapat maganda ‘yong samahan n'yo, kaya lahat ini-exert namin talaga," said Dennis about his leading lady. PEP

Dennis Trillo: "Tahimik lang talaga ako, at naka-focus kasi ako sa trabaho. Ayoko lang maging masyadong close. Kasi, alam mo na... iwas na lang sa tsismis. 'Pag sa eksena naman, ibinibigay ko ang lahat. Kung wala lang take, nasa isang sulok lang ako," says Dennis Trillo on how focused he is now on his work.
JC de Vera: "Willing akong mag-explore, willing akong mag-improve, willing akong matuto. Ako kasi, ayokong ma-typecast dun sa drama lang ang kaya ko, ayokong masabihan ako ng gano'n. Lalola: "Ganun pa naman yung type ko, yung katulad ni JC—medyo dark, yung Pinoy yung hitsura. Hitsura, pasadong-pasado. Ugali, I need to get to know him better. Dennis Trillo and Heart Evangelista are paired for the first time in the "Chinoy" episode of Dear Friend. " Medyo nagkakailangan pa kami. Never ko pa siyang nakatrabaho at tahimik siya masyado, kaya nahihiya rin ako sa kanya. Very shy talaga siya, hindi ko tuloy alam kung ano ang sasabihin,"says Heart about her leading man.
John Prats: When asked about the current status of his relationship with Shaina Magdayao, John Prats replies, "Basta kapag may something naman na bago, we'll let people know. So ngayon talaga, masayang-masaya si John Prats pagdating sa pag-ibig at sa lahat."

Heart Evangelista leads the cast of GMA-7's upcoming primetime series Luna Mystica, where she will play two different characters. Luna Mystica is her second soap in the Kapuso network after Codename: Asero.
