Rudy Fernandez was finally laid to rest earlier today. Gabby Concepcion and daughter, the Gutierrez family, the Barretos, the Estradas, and other celeb friends were there for the burial.

Sharon Cuneta during the funeral service for Rudy Fernandez: "Nag-aayos na ako ng gamit ko para sa flight for Rome nang mapansin ko ang mga missed calls, ayokong basahin, kahit text messages. Until nakita kong may message si Jinggoy at iyon ang binasa ko. Sabi niya, ‘Mare, wala na.' Parang hindi ko maisip na pagbalik ko, may dadalawin nga ako pero hindi na magre-react."

Pinoy Big Brother's Valerie Weigmann: "I really want to try showbiz and, of course, first mag-aral ng Tagalog. Yung kailangan talaga dito sa Philippines dahil importante talaga marunong mag-Tagalog, magsalita ng Tagalog. And gusto ko talaga yung pangarap talaga, yes, mag-artista talaga."

Pinoy Big Brother's grand winner is Ejay Falcon from Mindoro. The finale was held earlier tonight, June 7, at the Araneta Coliseum. The secret of Pinoy Big Brother is that there's really no secret as to who's ever going to win this show. Always just know that if any Pinoy is from overseas, they're not going to win, because there's too much crab mentality in the Philippines to let someone who is perceived to be 'sosyal' (i.e. the PBB contestants raised overseas) win. It's just a given fact, just look at the previous PBB winners, none of them were raised outside of the Philippines as well, and those who were were often eliminated first and never end up in the finals, so in the end, it's always kind of pointless to bring them in the show in the first place except to exploit the 'glamour' that they bring from being raised outside the Philippines, which ABS-CBN fully exploited from the beginning: "Spanish stallion" (even though Kevin's dad is Filipino, and his mom is Irish), "Italian lover" or whatever, the girl from Holland, which also perpuates the worship of all things foreign in the Philippines. Whether those perceptions and stereotypes of Filipinos raised outside the Philippines as being 'sosyal' or having tons of money are true is another matter...
