Jennylyn Mercado Mark Herras Dear Friend

Jennylyn Mercado will return to showbiz after giving birth to her baby with her eternal love team partner Mark Herras in Dear Friend.

How did Jennylyn feel about working with Mark again?

"Yung first scene namin ni Mark, medyo nanibago rin po ako dahil matagal nga akong hindi umarte. Pero sa simula lang po ‘yon dahil nandoon naman si Mark. Ever since, appreciated ko po talaga ang mga ginagawa sa akin ni Mark."

And how did Mark feel about working with Jennylyn again?

"Still the same po, comfortable naman kami agad," sagot ni Mark, at nagkuwento: "Sa Heritage Park po sa Taguig ang first scene namin. Sa story po kasi, laging dinadalaw ni Toni [Jennylyn] ang puntod ng namatay niyang boyfriend. Ako naman, as Alex, naroon din dahil ipinaaayos ko ang nitso ng mother ko."

"May ugali si Toni na binibigyan niya ng flowers iyong mga puntod doon kaya kami nagkakilala and later on, nagkamabutihan kami. Ang problema ko sa kanya, tuwing magkasama kami, ikinu-compare niya ako sa dati niyang boyfriend. Yun po ang problema na ipinadala namin sa Dear Friend."

Jennylyn is busy with her comeback and not thinking at all about Patrick Garcia as she will star in next month's installation of Obra. But has Jennylyn and Mark's chemistry changed since she's come back?

"Mas nakakaarte na kami nang tama ngayon!" says Mark. "Noon kasi, kapag may tampuhan kami, hindi kami mapaarte ng maayos. Nag-aaway kami, kaya may isang ayaw magtrabaho ng tama ‘tapos may isa pang nang-aasar. Malaki ang problema ng staff sa amin kasi mga bata pa kami noon kaya ang hirap naming sumunod. Pasaway talaga kami ni Jen noon kapag nag-aaway kami. Pati trabaho namin, apektado."

"Ngayon, tapos na ‘yon dahil nag-mature na kami ni Jen. ‘Tsaka may kanya-kanya na kaming buhay ngayon. Kaya yung makatrabaho na lang namin ang isa't isa ay malaking bagay na for us."

Mark Herras Dating

Mark Herras: "'Pag kunyari may nagustuhan akong babae, una malakas yung loob ko sa text. For example, may nililigawan ako or crush ko, ang hilig kong mag-text ng ‘Hi, kumusta na?' ‘I miss you,' ‘Gudnyt.' Pero kapag kaharap ko na, iba na, nahihiya na ako," reveals Mark Herras.

Italy starring Rufa Mae Quinto, Dennis Trillo, Jolina Magdangal, Mark Herras, & Rhiann Ramos

I.T.A.L.Y. starring Jolina Magdangal, Rufa Mae Quinto, Dennis Trillo, Mark Herras, & Rhiann Ramos, is slated for release.

Tatlong kontinente ang inabot ng shooting nina Jolina Magdangal, Rufa Mae Quinto, Dennis Trillo, Eugene Domingo, Mark Herras at Rhian Ramos para sa pelikulang I.T.A.L.Y. (I Trust And Love You).



In a press release sent to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), ang tatlong continents na pinuntahan ng cast and crew ng latest GMA Films project na ito ay Europe, Africa, at Asia.



Nagsimula ang shooting with the cast and crew traveling from the Philippines to Amsterdam, then to Milan, both by plane. Pagkatapos na mag-shoot ng mga eksena roon ay nag-train naman sila from Milan to Genoa and stopping at Venice to shoot again. Then, boarding a train again, they went to Savona; dito nakadaong ang giant Italian luxury ship, Costa Magica, kung saan nag-shooting pa sila.



Pumalaot ang cruise ship sa Naples at Palermo, Italy, then to Tunisia in Africa, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona in Spain, at Marseilles, France. Ang huling stop ay sa Rome. Gumamit din ang I.T.A.L.Y. ng Italian actors. The rest of the shoot will be here in the Philippines.





"FIRSTS" IN PHILIPPINE MOVIES. Ayon sa press release, ang pagsu-shoot sa tatlong kontinente at sa giant luxury ship, at pag-hire ng Italian actors for the movie ay pawang mga "first" sa Philippine movie making. Ito na rin daw marahil ang grandest project ng GMA Films.



All praises si Jolens sa kanilang direktor na si Mark Reyes, who highlighted not only the scenic spots but also the most unlikely corners of each location.



"Very realistic ang approach ni Direk Mark dahil ipinapakita niya pati yung mga suluk-sulok at eskinita ng mga locations namin. Kaya tuloy mapi-feel ng mga manonood yung totoong characteristic ng isang lugar at yung mood namin sa story," 'ika ni Jolina sa press release.



GRATEFUL JOLENS. Grateful si Jolina sa GMA Films for pushing through with the movie, kahit na nag-pull-out ang original na leading man niya sa movie na si Gabby Concepcion. Grateful din daw siya kay Dennis for accepting the role na iniwan ni Gabby, kay Rufa Mae and Eugene for joining the cast, at kina Mark at Rhian na nakatrabaho na rin daw niya in the past.



Malaki rin ang pasasalamat ni Jolens sa GMA Films executives na sina Annette Gozon-Abrogar at Joey Abacan for being hands-on sa proyektong ito, kay writer Senedy Que sa pag-develop ng story which highlights the working condition and sentiments of OFW's working in a cruise ship, at kay line producer Elaine Lozano who faced a daunting task doing a project in unfamiliar places.



Kahit na may minor problems at last-minute changes, maganda pa rin daw ang naging takbo ng shooting ng I.T.A.L.Y. at nakumpleto ang mga eksena ayon sa schedule.



Direk Mark credits this to the professionalism of his actors, "Maganda ang composition ng cast dahil professional lahat, walang nag-inarte at nag-primadona. Kahit mahirap ang trabaho, pinagaan ng magandang samahan." PEP

Jennylyn Mercado Hospitalized

Jennylyn Mercado, who is currently pregnant with Patrick Garcia's baby, was rushed to the hospital after experiencing excruciating pain in her stomach.

Jennylyn was hospitalized for abdominal cramps and told GMA-7 News, "Okay naman ‘yong baby wala namang problema but ‘yon nga ‘yong nararamdaman ko, ‘yong sobrang stressed ako."

Patrick has been trying hard to get back together with Jennylyn after conflicts between her and his family, including conflicts between Jennylyn and Patrick's sister, actress Cheska Garcia, but Jennylyn wants to forget about Patrick altogether.

Pinoy Idol with Jolina Magdangal!

Jolina Magdangal is off to Italy to shoot the movie that was supposed to star Gabby Concepcion, and her TV show Pinoy Idol debuted this week on Philippine television, with Ogie Alcasid, Raymond Gutierrez, and Wygnard Tracy. It was entertaining, although the original was so much better and more fun to watch, but the quality of TV is improving in the Philippines, thank God.

Volta stars the fantastic Ai Ai de las Alas, translated to English, Ai Ai 'of the wings', and she sure does fly in this show.
I Am KC has been airing saturdays starring KC Concepcion & Ai Ai de las Alas.
Kung Fu Kids is a great showcase for all of the talented young actors in the Philippines, however, it's a poorly scripted show that is so depressing to watch. But Philippine TV has always been depressing to watch, because most of the stories are so depressing reflecting I suppose the supposedly depressing life of the masses, so I guess, what's the difference?
Love Spell is great and Philippine TV needs more supernatural/horror shows, because that's what Filipinos are really good at making. Sigaw, of which it's American remake will be coming out soon, is a fantastic example.
Palos starring Cesar Montano & Jake Cuenca is obviously an attempted remake of James Bond, but it doesn't work. I've watched it, and some scenes are entertaining, but they should stick to Tagalog. The English dialogue is written well and if you take the words they say and put it on paper, it's really sophisticated, but when you hear the actors and actresses actually say it, it just doesn't click...

Katrina Halili in Bikini

Marimar star Katrina Halili will release a coffeetable book to promote Philippine tourism and art: "Lahat ng ginagawa ko, paiba lang siya nang paiba. Pero basta iba ito, surprise na lang, hintayin na lang nila. Ayoko na lang ikuwento basta mas sexy." PEP, Nelson Canlas:

For the first layout of Katrina's pictorial, the sexy young actress has chosen the island of Boracay as location—a cover near the Station 1 of Bora.

The concept of Katrina's pictorial is a sea goddess and a shipwreck survivor.

"Lahat ng ginagawa ko, paiba lang siya nang paiba. Pero basta iba ito, surprise na lang, hintayin na lang nila. Ayoko na lang ikuwento, basta mas sexy," says Katrina.

"Nakakatakot din, pero mas nae-excite ako. Nae-excite talaga ako kasi gustung-gusto ko siyang gawin," says Katrina about her new pictorial.

Katrina picked ace photographer Nicolo Cosme to capture the sensuality of the StarStruck 1 Avenger.

"We are trying to infuse tourism, entertainment, and then art [in this book]. I think it's very good," says photographer Nicolo Cosme.

Adds Nicolo, "Basically, nag-meeting kami that night nung dumating dito. May mga themes kami na susundin, sexy, provocative pero hindi bastos. I think natsa-challenge din siya, e. Hindi ko puwedeng i-disclose yung buong details, pero I think she will be baring a lot of skin."

Katrina says that Boracay is only the first of the many locations for her coffeetable book. "Nandito kami ngayon sa Boracay, ‘tapos next kaming pupunta ng Palawan, Romblon, at marami pang place na pupuntahan namin para mag-shoot kami," says Katrina. Nelson Canlas Photos.
