Sharon Cuneta Divorce: 'I'm burned out'

Sharon Cuneta: When asked if the rumored separation between her and Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan is true, Megastar Sharon Cuneta answered, "I'll give you one word. Burnout... Burnout... I'm burned out of intriga."

"Siguro naman it's about time na she experience being a mother. Lahat naman ng mga kasabayan niya may mga sarili nang pamilya, ‘di ba? I think naisip din iyon ni Vina. Kahit na nasa gitna siya ng isang hindi inaasahan na situwasyon, I guess she's happy with her decision," says Keempee de Leon of her ex-girlfriend Vina Morales (inset) who is now two months pregnant.

"Kaya lang naman nasasabi ni Hazel yun, dahil siguro napuno na siya sa mga intriga... pero kung nasabi ni Hazel yun, flattered talaga ako, at maraming salamat. Pero, magkano na ba ang cloning ngayon? Seriously speaking, I only wish the best for Hazel, at sana, matagpuan din niya yung guy na para talaga sa kanya," acknowledges Jomari Yllana of her ex-girlfriend Ara Mina's statement that her peg for the next man she'll fall for is him. Hazel is Ara's real nickname.

"Dati, sabi ko ‘pag nag-18 si Andrei [his son with Aiko Melendez], puwede na akong magpakasal. Ngayon, ‘di ko na alam. Pareho kaming nagpapalaki ng mga anak at sila ang priority namin at hindi ang kasal. Ayusin na lang muna namin ang responsibilidad sa mga anak namin," says Jomari Yllana when asked if there is already a plan for him and Pops Fernandez to get married.

"It's still Anne's show at kontrabida lang niya ako. If they find me very effective sa role ko as Diana, nagpapasalamat ako because it's my first time to do such a role and I enjoy doing it. Kaya siguro sinasabi nila na effective ako is because ini-enjoy ko na ang pagiging kontrabida. Wala namang sapawan. In the end naman, si Anne pa rin ang bida ng show," says Nikki Bacolod.

Yes, watch it now, tape it as much as possible, absorb all the sexy 'cuerpos' because it's ending soon. There are two beautiful Cubans that are heating up Philippine television these days, one of them is El Cuerpo's Mario Cimarro and the other is Ariana Barouk, who co-hosts Ogags with Daiana Menezes every Wednesday at 10pm on TV5.

TV Ratings Dyosa

Dyosa and Dyesebel: After debuting at No. 5 with the pilot episode, ABS-CBN's new fantaserye Dyosa dropped to the sixth place, then down to the eighth place on the following nights. Although Dyosa relatively maintained its rating—with 25.5 percent as the highest and 23.6 percent as the lowest—it was not able to sustain its hold on the fifth position. It ranked No. 6 Tuesday (August 12), No. 8 Wednesday (August 13), and No. 7 Thursday (August 14).Anne Curtis' Dyosa has the same timeslot as Marian Rivera's Dyesebel, GMA-7's own fantaserye, which has been consistently topping the ratings game in Mega Manila since its debut. Dyesebel posted the following ratings from Tuesday to Thursday: 40.2 percent, 38.3 percent, and 41.5 percent.

Anne Curtis talent fee scandal

Did Anne Curtis request a higher talent fee after recent her box-office hit 'When Love Begins' with Aga Muhlach?

"Hindi pa panahon sa ganyan. Bago-bago pa lang naman ako sa mga pelikula. Basta at this moment, sobrang thankful ako kay Lord because kumita yung movie, na sinuportahan siya ng tao," says Anne Curtis about speculations that she could ask for a raise in her talent fee after the success of her first movie.

Ayon sa report ng Star Cinema ay almost P50 million na ang kinita ng pelikulang When Love Begins nina Aga Muhlach at Anne Curtis sa first week nito. Dahil dito, masasabing hindi lang pang-TV ang hatak ngayon ni Anne kundi pati na rin sa pelikula. Ang When Love Begins ang nagluklok kay Anne bilang isa sa top leading ladies ng bansa.



Sinasabing ang popularity at bankability ay nangangahulugan lamang ng mas mataas na asking price. Pero sinabi ni Anne sa PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na wala pa sa isip niya ang magpataas ng presyo gaya ng ginagawa ng ibang mga artista.

Totoo bang kinabahan si Anne bago ang showing ng When Love Begins dahil baka hindi kagatin ng publiko ang tambalan nila ni Aga because of their age gap?



"Lahat naman siguro ng tao na gumagawa ng movie, may fear kung kikita ba yung movie niya kahit pa nga alam niyang it's really a good movie. Never naging issue sa akin yung age gap namin ni Aga, okay lang naman yung age gap namin. Kumbaga, hindi naman ‘yon ang naging factor kung bakit kinabahan ako. Siyempre, we were out against Iron Man," pahayag ng young actress.



DYOSA. Nagsimula nang mag-taping si Anne para sa primetime series niya sa ABS-CBN, ang Dyosa. Nilinaw ng young actress na hindi ito remake ng pelikula noon ni Lorna Tolentino na may pamagat na Diosa.



Ano ang maaasahan ng mga manonood sa kanya sa Dyosa na hindi pa nakikita sa iba niyang teleserye, gaya ng Kampanerang Kuba?



"Well, hindi ako papangit dito unlike sa Kampanerang Kuba!" natatawa niyang sabi. "Ang maipagmamalaki ko dito, maganda yung casting, yun ang dapat nilang abangan."

SNUBBING ISSUE WITH MARIANNA. Naging isyu rin ang napabalitang isnaban daw nila ng Brazilian model-actress na si Marianna del Rio nang sabay silang mag-guest sa Entertainment Live last April 26. Ipinaliwanag naman ni Anne sa PEP kung bakit hindi sila nagbatian ni Marianna. Na-link kasi noon si Marianna kay Sam, na napapabalitang boyfriend ni Anne.



"Hindi naman kasi kami na-introduce personally, so hindi kami nagkabatian," sabi niya. "Sana huwag na nating pag-usapan ‘yan kasi ginagawa pang malaking issue. Ayoko namang magkaro'n ng negative issue kasi wala naman sa pagkatao ko yun."



Dagdag ni Anne, kung kilala lang talaga niya nang personal si Mariana, babatiin niya ito kapag nagkita sila.


"Wala kasi kaming common friends," paliwanag niya. "It happens naman in showbiz. It's only natural na wala kayong common friends ng isang kapwa mo artista. Sa akin, if there will be chance, of course naman, I will greet her. In this industry, it's inevitable that you meet new and different people. So bakit naman hindi, di ba?" PEP

Betty La Fea Filipinas

Bea Alonzo won the coveted role of Betty La Fea, in the upcoming Philippine remake of the famous Colombian telenovela, despite the fact that Kristine Hermosa was more suited to it.

Director Wenn Deramas confirmed that ABS-CBS management chose Bea to star in the Philippine adaptation of the hit Colombian telenovela, Betty La Fea.

Deramas was in Calatagan, Batangas for the first official taping day of Dyosa with Anne Curtis.

He said he'll be meeting with ABS-CBN executives on May 6 to discuss the upcoming project. The network wants the taping of the show to start immediately, simultaneously as the taping for Dyosa.

Betty La Fea is a world famous Colombian telenovela that aired from 1999 to 2001. The first version was shown in GMA7 in the Philippines, and re-run on Studio 23. ABS-CBN bought the rights to remake the telenovela from Colombian TV company RCN Caracol.

Betty was remade around the world, including the Emmy-Award winning U.S. comedy Ugly Betty. Other countries to remake the telenovela were Spain, Israel, India, Germany, Turkey, Russia, Netherlands, Greece, Croatia, Czech Republic, Portugal, and more.

Kristine Hermosa, Angel Locsin, Anne Curtis, and Valerie Concepcion were also considered for the role.

It also caused controversy for Regine Velasquez, who was in talks to star in the role. Regine will now star in the remake of the Koreanovela My Name is Kim Sam Soon, which has already started taping.

Bea's last appearance on primetime TV was in Maging Sino Ka Man Book 2.

I'm excited to watch it, and Bea is a good actress, not the best, but she's a good actress. And now I expect ABS-CBN to follow stereotype, and will cast John Lloyd Cruz as Armando, uuh, how predictable, hehe.

Watch, I'm probably right, hehe. Well, I'd rather have John Lloyd than Sam Milby in the role, please not, he will ruin the show because he is not talented enough of an actor to portray something as important as this. Hope all goes well and this turns out to be a good show.

Anne Curtis Dyosa Mermaid

Anne Curtis fulfills her childhood dream by playing mermaid in ABS-CBN's series "Dyosa." Since she was 12 years old, Anne has always wanted to play a mermaid. She finally got the chance yesterday, May 5, when she shot her underwater scenes as a mermaid during the first taping day of Dyosa in a secluded cove in Calatagan, Batangas.

She is the goddess of the earth, sea, and sky. She is destined to restore balance to the universe. She is Dyosa, who will be played none other than Anne Curtis.



Through the help of ABS-CBN's PR manager Lorelie Dionisio-Piravalasamy, PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) was able to visit Anne Curtis during the first official taping day of Dyosa. This fantaserye directed by Wenn Deramas pairs Anne with Sam Milby, Luis Manzano, and Zanjoe Marudo.



After traveling over four hours from ABS-CBN compound in Quezon City, we arrived at the Aqua Farm in Calatagan, Batangas, where Anne had just taped her scenes as a mermaid. Anne then moved to the Ivory Beach where she shot underwater scenes while wearing a golden fish tail. She was assisted by two divers while Boy Siojo and Richard Arellano facilitated the underwater scenes.



After shooting her underwater scenes, PEP was able to talk with Anne as she rested inside her airconditioned tent.



Anne has been very vocal in saying that she has always wanted to play a mermaid. What was her reaction when she learned that she would play a mermaid for Dyosa?



She shrieks, "Yes! I know, dream come true na ‘to, that's why I'm so happy! I've always wanted to be a mermaid, it's really something I wanted to do and finally, I'm given the opportunity. Kaya career ko talaga kasi feel na feel ko."



Aside from playing a half-human, half-fish character, Anne will also transform into a centaur (half-human, half-horse), and a half-human with eagle wings.



"I'm the same person but with three different capabilities. She's the goddess of the sea, of land, of air. It's something I'm really excited about."



When we saw Anne shooting her underwater scenes, she would emerge from the water appearing as if she were topless. Anne's flawless skin is marred only by the faint bikini lines still visible on her back.



"It's not what you think. It's an illusion. Of course, lahat may takip. I have prosthetics. Sabi ko naman, I'm willing to do it just as long as it's an illusion... it's not the real thing. Kasi hindi ka naman makakaarte if you're not comfortable, di ba? So I wanted to have something na kumportable naman ako."



How did she prepare for her role as a mermaid?



"It helps talaga na beach person talaga ako. I only tried introductory scuba diving early this year, so nag-aral ako with the dive masters provided by the show. And they taught me how to do fin swimming, which is a sport now! It uses a monofin [to propel in the water]."



Is she ready to face critics who would compare her performance as a mermaid with GMA-7's Dyesebel (played by Marian Rivera)?



"I think that's only healthy competition naman and it's inevitable naman sa business natin. Kahit nga hindi shows, may comparison kaagad yun. So ako naman, hayaan n'yo na, part naman yun ng industry. Expected na yun. That's why I think you should give your best talaga para you don't have any regrets.



"People may criticize our show, pero at least, I gave my best. Walang [second thoughts] 'Sabi ko na nga ba, dapat I had to do this.' I'm ready to accept whatever criticisms may come my way, or praises sana," says Anne with a sweet smile.



There was a movie titled Diosa released in 1981, but Direk Wenn explained that this fantaserye has no relation to the Lorna Tolentino-starrer. In Diosa, LT portrayed an engkantada who exacts revenge on those who dared steal her precious jewels.



According to Wenn, this fantasy series was created especially for Anne. The lead character of Dyosa is an 18-year-old lass who is a descendant of Mariang Sinukuan and Bernardo Carpio. She is destined to rule the world of the upper Gods. But her discovery comes with a price—she must choose between fulfilling her destiny and the mortal whom she loves.



Anne Curtis's Dyosa is expected to air in the third quarter of the year during ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida. PEP
