Richard Gutierrez KC Concepcion Valentine movie from GMA Films and Regal

Richard Gutierrez and KC Concepcion will team up in a Valentine movie to be produced by GMA Films and Regal Entertainment, and directed by Jose Javier Reyes.

Tuloy na tuloy na ang Valentine movie nina Richard Gutierrez at KC Concepcion next year from GMA Films and Regal Entertainment.



Gabi ng Miyerkules, May 21, isang biglaang invitation ang natanggap ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) mula sa Corporate Communication ng GMA-7 saying, "tuloy na ang contract signing tomorrow of Richard and KC and Direk Joey [Reyes] tomorrow 11 am at the 16th floor Board Room."



Kasunod nito ay nakatanggap kami agad ng tawag sa Project Development Manager and Head of Synergy ng GMA Films na si Noel Ferrer. Ang una naming tinanong sa kanya ay kung "naayos" na ang lahat for the contract signing to push through. Oo raw, so all is set for GMA Films to announce its separate project with Richard and KC.



IMPOSSIBLE DREAM. Mula pa sa simula, everyone wanted to see Richard and KC on screen but it seemed an impossible dream. Richard is an exclusive GMA Films artist at si KC, ipinahayag na noon na pipirma sa Star Cinema as an exclusive artist.



Making the Richard-KC team-up happen began in an early morning talk nina Noel Ferrer and Joey Abacan, VP for GMA Program Management. They wanted to suggest the idea to Star Cinema.



Sinundan ito ng public pronouncement ni GMA Films President Annette Gozon-Abrogar, when she said that GMA Films is open to the possibility of a co-production deal with Star Cinema. The next move was for GMA Films to pursue this co-production initiative along with KC's managers, Sandra Chavez and Shirley Kuan. And, in a way, tumulong na rin pareho sina Richard at KC sa pagiging vocal nila pareho na sana nga ay magkaroon ng isang pelikula na magkasama sila.



THE DEAL. A deal was set between GMA Films and Star Cinema. May sariling pelikula na gagawin ang film arm ng ABS-CBN starring Richard and KC at mauuna itong ipalalabas this August 2008. And then, ang GMA Films naman ang mag-a-announce ng kanilang separate movie, also starring the two stars na may Valentine 2009 release naman.



Nauna na nga ang dalawang big announcements ng Star Cinema. First ang pagpirma ni KC as an exclusive talent with a three-picture contract. Ikalawa, ang pagpirma ng isang picture deal ni Richard sa Star Cinema para maging kauna-unahang partner ni KC sa big screen.



It was also announced that the Star Cinema movie will be directed by Ms. Joyce Bernal and that some of the scenes will be done in Greece.



Naghintay muna ng dalawang linggo ang kampo ng GMA Films bago magbigay ng sariling announcement dahil nasa Europe pa si Annette, nasa Dubai si Richard for his Codename: Asero, at busy naman si KC sa UN work niya sa Marawi.



Tuesday, May 20, of this week na-set ang announcement. But some technicalities surfaced na kailangang ayusin about the contract of KC sa Star Cinema kung kaya't na-postpone ito.



"WHEN I MET YOU." Wednesday, May 21, natuloy naman ang story conference and pictorial nina Richard at KC for their Star Cinema project. Meanwhile, the talks continued between GMA Films and Star Cinema para maayos ang ilang gusot and, presumably, all went well for GMA Films to do its own announcement Thursday morning, May 22.



Alas-onse pa lang ng umaga, kumpleto na ang triumvirate ng GMA Films na sina Ms. Annette Gozon-Abrogar, Joey Abacan, at Noel Ferrer. Ayos na rin ang boardroom ng 16th floor arranged by the Corporate Communication unit headed by Angel Javier. Maaga ring nagsidatingan ang GMA TV crew pati na rin sina Ricky Lo at Lhar Santiago, at sumunod na ang mga publicists ng GMA Films.



Sa background, pinapatugtog ang kantang "When I Met You." We later found out na ito pala ang magiging title ng pelikula na nina Richard at KC, na isinulat at ididirehe ni Direk Joey Reyes, na nasa grounds na rin at hinihintay ang pagdating nina Richard at KC.



According to Direk Joey, When I Met You is a "sweeping romance" about the joy of being young, alive, and in love. Basically, sabi niya, it is everything that's beautiful in the world.



PEP asked Noel and Direk Joey kung magkakaroon din ito ng out of the country scenes. Ito raw ang isa sa mga pag-uusapan sa itaas. Malamang na magkaroon din daw, pero ayaw munang ipasabi kung anong bansa sila pupunta.



When I Met You is scheduled to open February 11, 2009. Like the first four Valentine movies of Richard—Let The Love Begin, I Will Always Love You, The Promise, and My Best Friend's Girlfriend—it will be co-produced by Regal Entertainment.

Richard Gutierrez and KC Concepcion's Star Cinema movie has begun it's story conference, for which Richard had to go to the ABS-CBN studios to meet with producers about a story concept.

How did he feel about visiting the ABS-CBN studios and about his new movie with KC?

"Well, I consider it a sign of unity for both networks, and this is the first time this has happened. I think it's a big step on both networks and we're very, very happy to be part of it. Napagbigyan kami at hindi namin ini-expect na talagang matutuloy siya. This movie is for all the people who requested for it, this is for them," Richard Gutierrez tells the media about his movie with KC Concepcion for Star Cinema.

Sharon Cuneta 'Dear Heart' remake

Sharon Cuneta is still against a "Dear Heart" remake by Viva Films. Gabby Concepcion co-starred with her in the original 80s box office hit.

"If Viva will remake it, it will break my heart. Kahit sino pang artista, hindi porke anak ni Robin. It will break my heart, because Dear Heart is... That's one in a lifetime thing," says Sharon Cuneta.

After the presscon ng Caregiver ng Star Cinema kagabi, May 14, sa Studio 1 ng ABS-CBN, pumayag si Direk Chito Roño na mag-stay pa ng ilang minutes si Sharon Cuneta para ma-interview ng entertainment press kahit may shooting pa ang Megastar ng ilang eksena nila sa pelikula.



Maraming sinagot na mga katanungan si Sharon tungkol sa Caregiver, ang pagse-celebrate niya ng 30th year sa show business, at pati na ang tungkol sa ex-husband niyang si Gabby Concepcion kahit na may pakiusap na before the presscon na wala na sanang questions about Gabby.



"DEAR HEART" REMAKE. Isa sa itinanong kay Sharon ay tungkol sa napabalitang paggawa ng movie ng eldest daughter ni Robin Padilla na si Queenie sa Viva Films. Ang unang pelikula raw na gagawin ni Queenie ay ang remake ng Dear Heart, na kauna-unahang pelikula ni Sharon opposite Gabby.



"Ngayon ko lang nalaman na si Queenie ang gagawa nun," nagulat na sabi ni Sharon. "Pero ayoko pa ring ipagawa ‘yon kahit kanino, kahit pa sa isang prinsesa. Si KC [Concepcion, Sharon's eldest daughter] lang ang may karapatang gumawa nun. Pero she's 23 na, kaya hindi na rin puwede, and it upsets her. I was only 15 nang gawin ko ‘yon. Kung gagawin ang Dear Heart you have to create a unique kind of magic for this generation.



"Ang ganda-ganda namang bata ni Queenie and, of course, I love Robin. Ang tawagan nga namin niyan, ‘kambal,' because we're very similar. Of course, Robin is very smart... I'm not saying I'm smart, pero ‘yong jokes niya, whenever we see each other, it always synch. Hindi lamang talaga nag-synch ‘yong mga balak niya sa buhay sa mga balak ko naman sa buhay ko. Who's gonna make the remake daw?"



Sinabi sa kanya na ang dating niyang home studio na Viva Films ang mag-remake nito.



"If Viva will remake it, it will break my heart. Kahit sino pang artista, hindi porke anak ni Robin. It will break my heart, because Dear Heart is... That's one in a lifetime thing," pagtatapat ni Sharon.



Matatandaang hindi rin sinang-ayunan noon ni Sharon ang planong si Sarah Geronimo ang magbibida sa Dear Heart. Hindi na rin natuloy ang naturang plano.



Kung sina KC at Richard Gutierrez ang gagawa ng remake ng Deart Heart, papayag ba si Sharon?



"As I've said, I was only 15 nang gawin ko ‘yon and KC is now 23. Hindi na bagay sa kanya," saad ng Megastar.



Biro ng ilan, hihintayin na lang ba ng Viva Films ang anak niyang si Frankie para matuloy ang remake ng Dear Heart?



"Hindi rin, wala naman siyang koneksiyon sa tatay nun!" natatawang wika ni Sharon. Si Frankie ay anak ni Sharon sa second husband niyang si Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan samantalang si KC ay anak ng Megastar kay Gabby Concepcion.



POSSIBLE PROJECTS WITH ROBIN & RICHARD. How about a project with Robin?



"My God, we've been talking about the project for two years now!" sabi niya. "Nakapag-meeting na kami ng ilang beses, but for some reasons, di pa natutuloy. Parang may laging unang nabubuong script, pero siyempre nagtatrabaho din kami, hindi naman kami puwedeng maghintay forever. Tapos dumating nga ang project na ito, ang Caregiver."



May susunod na ba siyang project aftre Caregiver?



"Yung susunod na project, pagmi-mitingan pa after we promote this movie. Ewan ko kay Tita Malou [Santos of Star Cinema]."



Totoo bang may gagawin silang movie ng dati niyang boyfriend na si Richard Gomez?



"Hindi ko pa rin alam, but those movies are set to be done," sagot niya. "But hindi ko pa talaga alam kung ano ang exact na project, kung sinu-sino talaga ang makakasama ko. So unless Star Cinema announces something, it's hard for me to say."



KC AS DARNA? Naitanong din kay Sharon kung totoong in-offer ng GMA-7 ang role na Darna kay KC para sa pagbabalik nito sa telebisyon via Captain Barbell Meets Darna, kung saan si Richard Gutierrez ulit ang gaganap na Captain Barbell.



"Yes, she's been offered," pag-amin ng Megastar. "But I'm not so sure if she is committed. What I know is that she will do the movies first, and I think that's the best decision.



"Nakakatuwa, but can I tell the truth? I guested noon in Captain Barbell [of Edu Manzano and Herbert Bautista] as Darna, because that was the intro sana to what was the full-length movie of Darna na ako na ang gaganap. So people are waiting. Pero ako na ang nakiusap na huwag nang ituloy.



"Ang hirap kasi noon, hindi katulad ngayon na maganda ‘yong mga harness na ginagamit. Noon, four days lang akong nag-shooting as guest, napakasakit talaga sa katawan ‘yong mga bakal na pinagsasabitan sa akin. Bakal as in bakal talaga, kaya hindi ko na ginawa!" natatawang pagtatapos ni Sharon.

Sharon Cuneta approves KC Concepcion's team up with Richard Gutierrez for their upcoming movie with Star Cinema.

Aga Muhlach-Sharon Cuneta movie

Aga Muhlach's second movie with Sharon Cuneta is in the planning stage right now. Aga would also be willing to another movie with Lea Salonga, who has asked Aga to join her for a song on her 30 year anniversary concert.

With the sitcom That's My Doc, the box-office hit When Love Begins, and a new endorsement deal with Sun Cellular tucked under his belt, premier actor Aga Muhlach feels really blessed these days.



At the Sun Cellular press luncheon held yesterday, May 9, at the Bar One of Holiday Inn Galleria Manila in Pasig City, Aga said he is happy and proud to be part of the Sun Cellular family.



"Sun [Cellular] is a new player, there's room for growth and improvement, so I want to be a part of that. It's a new leaf, bagong pahina sa buhay ko 'to."



And speaking of new things in his life, more projects are lined up for the talented 38-year-old actor, including a Star Cinema movie with the Megastar Sharon Cuneta in 2009.



"There's a script already," Aga said. "They pitched it to Sharon before she left for London and when Sharon was in London they pitched it to me. We're going to meet with Sharon in two weeks time and we're going to discuss about the story and we're going to see how it goes."



Sharon just returned from shooting Caregiver in London, her new movie with Star Cinema after four years.



"Medyo mahirap kasi ‘yong pelikula," Aga said about his planned movie with Sharon. "Unang-una, we're going to be working abroad again, a different country, and it's hard to work ‘pag nasa ibang bansa ka talaga, nakakapagod."



When pressed for more details about the movie. Aga just said, smiling, "Basta 'yon lang muna. You'll find out naman."



There are also rumors that Aga will guest at international star Lea Salonga's 30th anniversary concert billed Lea, My Life... On Stage! on May 23 and 24 at the Philippine International Convention Center Plenary Hall.



"Well, I'd love to do that. But Lea Salonga singing, an orchestra... What am I going to do there? Magpapatawa na lang ako doon!" Aga says with a laugh. "Pero kung magge-guest talaga ako doon, then I will insist that I sing, di ba? I'll sing one song, a duet with her. ‘Pag pumatong na ‘yong boses ni Lea sa akin, believe me, ang ganda ng boses ko!"



Aga and Lea starred in the 1992 romantic movie Bakit Labis Kitang Mahal and Sana Maulit Muli in 1995.



Will there be a follow-up anytime soon? "I'd love to do another movie with Lea, of course. Because I spoke with the husband [Robert Chien], parang sabi niya, ‘Lea can only do a movie if it's with you.'"



This was confirmed by Lea herself at the presscon of her anniversary concert last May 7. "Only if with Aga," she quipped when asked if she's going to do another movie. PEP

Sharon Cuneta's "Caregiver" experience

Sharon Cuneta talks about the joys and sacrifices filming "Caregiver" and about her 30 years working in showbiz.

"One-thousand percent, sinasabi ko lagi ‘yan, ang in-increase ng respeto ko sa kanila [OFWs]. Walang panama ang hirap ng buhay ko sa hirap ng buhay na dinadanas nilang lahat. I was there [London] for three weeks. I did what they do every single day, several times a day for a few times lang, and I had a very hard time living for three weeks in an unfamiliar country and in conditions that my body is not used to," relates Sharon Cineta about shooting Caregiver in London.

Kasabay ng 30th year ni Sharon Cuneta sa showbiz, ipinagmamalaking inihahandog ng Star Cinema ang pagbabalik ng Megastar sa big screen sa pamamagitan ng Caregiver. Ang naturang pelikula rin na kinunan ang malaking bahagi sa London ang 15th year offering ng Star Cinema.

Apat na taon na ang nakalilipas nang ipalabas ang huling pelikula ni Sharon, ang critically-acclaimed na Crying Ladies mula sa Unitel Films. Kaya nanibago raw si Sharon sa paggawa ng pelikula.



"I didn't realize how much I had miss making movies hanggang ginawa ko ito. Yung una ko nga akong binigyan ng call slip, sabi ko, ‘Call slip!' Para kasing first movie ko since December 2003, since Crying Ladies.



"But thank God, nung umalis ako, hits naman yung iniwan ko—Walang Kapalit, Kung Ako Na Lang Sana, at Crying Ladies. So parang ang bait ng Diyos after. Akala ko, 'May project pa ba na magagawa na hindi ko pa nagagawa?' Yun pala, may ganito pa," excited na sabi ni Sharon nang makausap siya ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) pagkatapos ng pictorial niya para sa Caregiver last Tuesday, May 6, sa The Fort.



HEART & SOUL. Isa kami sa mga unang nakapanood ng full trailer ng maituturing na comeback movie ni Sharon. Kapansin-pansin na punung-puno ng puso at kaluluwa ang ibinigay ng Megastar sa kanyang pelikula.



"Di ba? I didn't expect that, e," sambit niya. "No, as God as my witness talaga, dati naman napa-proud ako sa movies. Pero hindi ako naiiyak kasi yung nagta-tighten yung chest ko kasi proud na proud ako sa pelikulang ito. Parang ang feeling, I'm not just an actress in this movie, I am representing all the OFWs [Overseas Filipino Workers], yun ang feeling ko.



"I made it my burden kahit hindi. Kahit ayaw nilang ibigay sa akin, aakuin ko para mabigyan ko ng justice at honor ang pelikulang ito. Mabigyan ko ng atensiyon na tama... Ang hilig nating magsabi ke bagong bayani, bagong bayani...hindi naman natin dinidibdib.



"One-thousand percent, sinasabi ko lagi ‘yan, ang in-increase ng respeto ko sa kanila [OFWs]. Walang panama ang hirap ng buhay ko sa hirap ng buhay na dinadanas nilang lahat. I was there [London] for three weeks. I did what they do every single day, several times a day for a few times lang, and I had a very hard time living for three weeks in an unfamiliar country and in conditions that my body is not used to. Kasi we live here in the tropics, di ba?



"I lived for a year in Boston, pero grabe ang lamig sa England!" patuloy ni Sharon. "Tsaka in one day, mae-experience mo halos four seasons, ganun ka-unpredictable. Kulang na lang snow every day.



"Tapos yung shooting schedule, the demands of the schedule... And understandable kasi London is a very expensive city. You have to understand na ang production, you're ambitious enough to mount a project na ganito kalaki and there's a project of course na allocated, di ba, na stressful. Pero you don't really know how it feels to really work within all those parameters na until you're going through the thing itself.



"So, yung lamig, yung lungkot, tsaka umutang kami ng tulog. I had one-day off in three weeks. And minsan, nakawan talaga ng tulog. Just two to three hours seleep a night. Masuwerte na maka-four hours. Kadalasan, sa van na yung tulog. Kapag may break, magna-nap ka muna. Natuto nga akong mag-catnap. Tapos, parang ang dikit-dikit ang pusod naming lahat—sina Rica [Peralejo], sina John [Estrada]... Grabe talaga, hindi madali ang mga eksena.



BRITISH CAST. "And for the first time in Philippine movie history, meron tayong non-Filipinos who actually have major roles in a Filipino movie. Kasi ayaw ni Direk Chito [Rono] nung ‘Aba, kung kayu-kayo rin naman pala ang mag-uusap at gusto mo lang magpakita ng postcard, excuse me!' Meaning, para kang travel show, di ba, huwag na tayong umalis. So, if you're going there, what did the caregivers do there? They take care of people who are based there, who have lived there all their lives. So, we have to incorporate.



"And they auditioned 20 to 30 actors for every role. And there are two major roles ng British actors. Yung alaga ko na si Mr. Morgan kunyari at yung anak niya na si David. Tapos may kapatid pa yun, si Margaret. Meron pang butler, meron pang housekeeper, tapos mayaman, marami... Magugulat kayo.



"Even our lines, yung mga dialogue, nagsasangguni kami sa kanila. Kasi ayaw ni Direk Chito na 'pag napanood ng mga British mismo, baka pagtawanan. Hindi naman ganyan magsalita. We were really dependent on them for dialogues, to make it sound more British. Ang katulong talaga namin ay mga caregivers talaga na Pinoy doon. Dalawang nursing homes ang pinagtrabahuan namin," mahabang kuwento ng Megastar.



May dalawang scenes sa trailer ng Caregiver kung saan ipinakita na kinagat si Sharon ng isang British actor at naghugas siya ng puwet.



"Oo, nasa eksena naman yun," sabi ni Sharon. "Lahat ng ginagawa, siyempre akting naman yun, hindi naman mangangagat. Kung meron man, hindi naman masakit. Parang nananakal ka sa pelikula, pero hindi mo naman tutuluyan yung sinasakal mo, yung ganun.



"These are real actors, itong mga kinuha namin. They were also auditioned. So they had roles. Everybody na umaakting doon, hindi biro yun. Kaya kahit yung pasyente ko, artista yun. Like yung nasa trailer, si ‘Lily, I'm going to take care of you from now on.' She appeared on several films. Nagta-talent siya like sa Bridget Jones' Diary, yung ganun. Meron silang ganun.



"Mga other co-stars sa movie na si Matthew, who plays the role of David, appeared in Kingdom of Heaven. He had spaeking lines with Orlando Bloom. Kahit kapiraso lang, sabi ko, ‘But you are hundreds in the cast, you should not really...' Parang hindi dapat maliitin yung ilang segundo ka sa screen.' Dyusko, sa dami ng daang-dang tao doon! They are really working actors."



SHARON AS A CAREGIVER. Paano ginawa yung eksenang naghugas siya ng behind ng British actor?



"Siyempre, may technique naman. May pang-pelikula naman talaga na technique. Siyempre, ayaw mo naman ma-expose ang ilang private parts ng pasyente, nung isang artista. Pero tastefully done lahat!" tawa niya.



Patuloy ni Sharon, "Funny to say tastefully done, pero necessity yun, e. It was necessary to show kasi kasama yun sa pinapaghirapan.



"Kasi ang role nung character ko, teacher siya, e. English teacher siya. Kaya marunong siyang mag-English, ‘no! English teacher siya sa Pampanga, kung saan ang asawa niya lumaki at nakatira. Tapos nauna ang asawa niya doon [London] na nurse na. So parang ano siya, ayaw niyang umalis dahil mapu-poromote na siya an English Department Head. Kaso, gusto ng asawa niya sumunod siya doon. Napilitan siya mag-caregiving course dito tapos tumuloy doon.



"Tapos yung dynamics ng mag-asawa, nasa ibang bansa. O kung may nagbago ba, may nag-improve ba? Ang daming pangyayari... Yung anak ko naiwan, nakilala ko naman si Makisig [Morales] na ang mommy niya si Ima Castro, who is based there doing Miss Saigon, na kunwari nag-asawa ng isang British at pinababayaan siya [Makisig] dahil hindi naman siya tunay na anak kaya napapahamak. Kaya siya yung naging anak-anakan ko. Ang daming relationships ng character ko."



NO MEGASTAR TREATMENT. May Megastar ba sa mahusay na direktor niyang si Chito Roño?

"Ay, wala!" maagap na sagot ni Sharon. "Hindi uso sa kanya yun. Walang Star for All Seasons sa kanya, wala ang Mega-Mega. Actually, the truth be told, sa mga direktor natin, lahat ng direktor na nakatrabaho ko kapag nasa set kayo, it's understood that the director's... Not for anything, kahit si Rowell [Santiago] noon, direktor ng show ko, yung Sharon, and everybody knows that he was may boyfriend before, yung puwedeng-puwedeng pinakasalan ko...all those things. Pero 'pag trabaho na, pinu-po ko siya. You have to set limitations.



"Nung na-realize kong parang there was a time nung early on, parang masyadong familiar kay Rowell, nakakahiya pala. Baka hindi maintindihan nung iba. So then, I realized na there are other people here, hindi lang ako, nakakahiya kay Rowell. That's when I really started showing respect at nakikita nila 'pag trabaho, 'Yes, Direk. Opo, Direk.'



"Ganun din sa iba kong direktor, specially kay Direk Chito. Lovable siya talaga. Funny ‘pag off-cam. Pero ‘pag trabaho na talaga, para siyang teacher na terror. Lagi kong sinasabi na parang lagi kang manginginig, maiiyak ka. Pero kapag pumasa ka, ang fulfillment, ang yabang mo. 'Bakit, kaya ninyo yun?'" tawa ng Megastar.



"Pero may appreciation," dugtong niya. "One time, 'Uy, nahuli kitang nagka-clap, Direk.' Ginaganun ko siya. Tinext ko si Tita Malou [Santos, Star Cinema managing director]. 'Clap, clap ang director ko. Nakita ko siya.' Tapos ‘pag titingin ako, itatago niyang ganun. Tapos tatawa lang siya, yung ganun."

Italy starring Rufa Mae Quinto, Dennis Trillo, Jolina Magdangal, Mark Herras, & Rhiann Ramos

I.T.A.L.Y. starring Jolina Magdangal, Rufa Mae Quinto, Dennis Trillo, Mark Herras, & Rhiann Ramos, is slated for release.

Tatlong kontinente ang inabot ng shooting nina Jolina Magdangal, Rufa Mae Quinto, Dennis Trillo, Eugene Domingo, Mark Herras at Rhian Ramos para sa pelikulang I.T.A.L.Y. (I Trust And Love You).



In a press release sent to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), ang tatlong continents na pinuntahan ng cast and crew ng latest GMA Films project na ito ay Europe, Africa, at Asia.



Nagsimula ang shooting with the cast and crew traveling from the Philippines to Amsterdam, then to Milan, both by plane. Pagkatapos na mag-shoot ng mga eksena roon ay nag-train naman sila from Milan to Genoa and stopping at Venice to shoot again. Then, boarding a train again, they went to Savona; dito nakadaong ang giant Italian luxury ship, Costa Magica, kung saan nag-shooting pa sila.



Pumalaot ang cruise ship sa Naples at Palermo, Italy, then to Tunisia in Africa, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona in Spain, at Marseilles, France. Ang huling stop ay sa Rome. Gumamit din ang I.T.A.L.Y. ng Italian actors. The rest of the shoot will be here in the Philippines.





"FIRSTS" IN PHILIPPINE MOVIES. Ayon sa press release, ang pagsu-shoot sa tatlong kontinente at sa giant luxury ship, at pag-hire ng Italian actors for the movie ay pawang mga "first" sa Philippine movie making. Ito na rin daw marahil ang grandest project ng GMA Films.



All praises si Jolens sa kanilang direktor na si Mark Reyes, who highlighted not only the scenic spots but also the most unlikely corners of each location.



"Very realistic ang approach ni Direk Mark dahil ipinapakita niya pati yung mga suluk-sulok at eskinita ng mga locations namin. Kaya tuloy mapi-feel ng mga manonood yung totoong characteristic ng isang lugar at yung mood namin sa story," 'ika ni Jolina sa press release.



GRATEFUL JOLENS. Grateful si Jolina sa GMA Films for pushing through with the movie, kahit na nag-pull-out ang original na leading man niya sa movie na si Gabby Concepcion. Grateful din daw siya kay Dennis for accepting the role na iniwan ni Gabby, kay Rufa Mae and Eugene for joining the cast, at kina Mark at Rhian na nakatrabaho na rin daw niya in the past.



Malaki rin ang pasasalamat ni Jolens sa GMA Films executives na sina Annette Gozon-Abrogar at Joey Abacan for being hands-on sa proyektong ito, kay writer Senedy Que sa pag-develop ng story which highlights the working condition and sentiments of OFW's working in a cruise ship, at kay line producer Elaine Lozano who faced a daunting task doing a project in unfamiliar places.



Kahit na may minor problems at last-minute changes, maganda pa rin daw ang naging takbo ng shooting ng I.T.A.L.Y. at nakumpleto ang mga eksena ayon sa schedule.



Direk Mark credits this to the professionalism of his actors, "Maganda ang composition ng cast dahil professional lahat, walang nag-inarte at nag-primadona. Kahit mahirap ang trabaho, pinagaan ng magandang samahan." PEP

Richard Gutierrez & KC Concepcion replace Marian Rivera & Dingdong

Richard Gutierrez and KC Concepcion's new movie together will replace the upcoming Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes movie for the upcoming August 2008 playdate.

KC, however, hasn't replaced Marian as far as TV ratings are concerned, as Dyesebel is still the #1 show in the country.

Dahil sa biglang pagpasok ng pelikulang unang pagtatambalan nina Richard Gutierrez at KC Concepcion sa bakuran ng Star Cinema—the first ex-deal between GMA Films and ABS-CBN's film arm—na-move naman first movie team-up sana nina Dingdong Dantes at Marian Rivera, kung saan kasama rin nila si Iza Calzado.



Mula sa isang insider sa GMA Films, napag-alaman ng PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) na totoo raw na ang original playdate sana ng movie nina Dingdong, Marian, at Iza may tentative title na Amnesia ay sa August of this year.



Ayon pa sa aming source, nang i-announce ang mga naka-lineup na pelikula ng GMA Films this year, August ang sinabing playdate ng Amnesia dahil magandang regalo raw ito para sa tatlong bida. Nagkataon kasing August celebrants silang lahat. Si Dingdong ay August 2 ang birthday habang sina Marian and Iza naman ay parehong sa August 12.



Obviously, hindi na matutuloy na sa August ipalabas ang Amnesia, na supposed to be ay ngayong May sana ang simula ng shooting. Pero na-move na raw ito sa June.



Instead na August, malamang daw na by September na ang showing nito to give way to the Richard-KC movie na solong ipo-produce ng Star Cinema, contrary sa ilang naglalabasang reports na co-produced ito ng Star Cinema at GMA Films. Iba naman daw kasi ang ex-deal na ang GMA Films ang magiging solong producer ng isa pang Richard-KC movie na malamang na ipalabas early next year.


Mukhang sa mga pangyayari, kahit parehong sinasabi nina Richard at Dingdong sa mga interview nila na hindi sila naaapektuhan at wala silang problema, hindi maiiwasan ang tapatan nila at maintriga sila sa isa't isa. Walang duda na sa bakuran ng Kapuso network, silang dalawa ang itinuturing na most important lead actors at pareho ring may guaranteed contracts sa GMA-7. PEP

KC Concepcion is officially set to star in her first production for Star Cinema with Richard Gutierrez, and wishes all of her fans and supporters a happy summer! It's hot in the Philippines, woo!Richard Gutierrez has inked a 1-movie deal with ABS-CBN's Star Cinema.

Gutierrez will be starring in a romance comedy set to be released next Valentine's Day, for which he is known for being the new 'king' when it comes to box office releases.

My Bestfriend's Girlfriend with Marian Rivera was a hit this past February 14 weekend making 50 million pesos in it's four days of release alone.

Present during the signing were Star Cinema head Malou Santos, ABS-CBN Corporate Communication head Bong Osorio and other network executives.

Matatandaang ikinasal sila sa St. Peter and Paul Parish Church sa Ormoc City (bayan ni Lucy) noong April 28, 1998, isang taon matapos makamit ni Richard ang matamis na "oo" ni Lucy, na aminadong long-time crush niya ang matniee idol ng dekada otsenta.



Nagkakilala ang dalawa noong gawin nila ang isang TV commercial para sa Lux shampoo noong 1993, na nasundan ng isa pa noong 1997.



Samantala, isang formal sit-down dinner ang inihanda ng mag-asawa para sa kanilang malalapit na mga kaibigan, na karamihan ay masasabing non-showbiz.

Tuloy na tuloy na ang pagtatambal nina Richard Gutierrez at KC Concepcion sa pelikula. Ito ang kinumpirma ng Star Cinema sa report ng ABS-CBN News ngayong gabi, May 2, sa TV Patrol World.



Pumirma na kaninang hapon si Richard ng one-picture deal sa Star Cinema. Kasama ng young actor ang kanyang ina at manager na si Annabelle Rama.



Nagsimula ang usap-usapan tungkol sa pagtatambal nina Richard at KC nang pumirma ng three-picture deal si KC sa Star Cinema last Wednesday, April 30. Hindi man siya nagbigay ng kumpirmasyon, nagbigay ng pahiwatig si KC na si Richard ang magiging leading man niya sa una niyang pelikula.

Marami ang nagsasabi na imposibleng magkatambal sina Richard at KC dahil nakakontrata sila sa magkalabang networks at film companies; si Richard sa GMA-7 at GMA Films samantalang si KC sa ABS-CBN at Star Cinema.



Pero dahil na rin siguro sa matinding clamor mula sa mga tagahanga nina Richard at KC na pagsamahin sila sa isang pelikula, nagkaroon ng katuparan ang maitututring na "dream project" na ito.



Hindi nagbigay ng detalye ang TV Patrol World tungkol sa negosasyong naganap sa pagitan ng kampo ni Richard at ng Star Cinema, o kung gagawa rin ba ng pelikula si KC sa ilalim ng GMA Films. Pero matatandaang nagbigay ng feelers ang GMA Films sa Star Cinema na willing silang makipag-co-produce para sa proyektong pagsasamahan nina Richard at KC.



Sa contract signing ni KC ay sinabi niya na sobrang excited siya sa mga naka-lineup na pelikula niya sa Star Cinema dahil marami raw silang sorpresang ihahandog sa mga manonood. Ang pagtatambal nila ni Richard, na balitang nanliligaw rin kay KC, ang tinutukoy na isa sa mga sorpresa ng young actress.



Kinumpirma rin ng managing director ng Star Cinema na si Ms. Malou Santos na isa si Richard sa pinagpipilian nilang maging leading man ni KC.



Sisimulan ang shooting ng pelikula nina Richard at KC sa June, pagbalik ng young actress mula sa pagbabakasyon niya sa Paris, France. PEP
