Howie Dorough Philippines

Howie Dorough and Sarah singing 'I'll Be There' on ASAP 08 yesterday. Howie also talked to Toni and Billy about his godmother being Filipina.
Howie Dorough and Sarah Interview TV Patrol
In an interview with the two, Geronimo and Dorough revealed that it was their first time to meet since they recorded their song “I'll Be There” separately.
"Actually this is the first time I got to meet Howie. We didn't record together," Geronimo said.
"Unfortunately that time I was in between Backstreet Boys tours and I had a very short time to do it. So, Christian de Walden actually came to me in Orlando where I was back home with my family for a couple days off and I recorded my vocals there. I already heard her sing on it and I was already singing with her on the demo," Dorough said.
Dorough said that he is very happy to do a project with Geronimo.
"I was in Canada for Backstreet Boys on tour just a month ago in two different areas. I was at a different place where I bumped into some people from the Philippines and I said I was going to the Philippines they said 'ah for vacation' and I said 'I'm actually working with a girl name Sarah Geronimno' and they said 'Oh Sarah Geronimo!'. She's very popular, very, very famous around the world," said Dorough.
The male singer said that he finds Geronimo to be a very humble and sweet girl, while Geronimo confirmed her admiration for the Backstreet Boy.
"I'm a big, big fan super. Very happy. Isn't it obvious that I'm very happy. Happy and honored to work with you Howie Dorough," said Geronimo.
She said that it's actually another dream come true for her to be working with Dorough.
"I can't believe before I'm just listening to my walkman.... 'I want it that way'. Another dream comes true. I've only daydreamed about this and I never thought this would happen," Geronimo said.
Geronimo asked Dorough to try and eat the best Filipino dishes like chicken adobo, pork adobo, sinigang and kare-kare.
Dorough who just got married said that he will take time to try the dishes with his lovely wife. He said he hopes that he could go back to the country for another project.
"You have beautiful islands and people. We're here last time for our tour two or three years ago. I would love to come here and do more projects in the future," he said.
Before the interview ended Geronimo and Dorough invited the people to grab a copy of "Just Me."
"I think this album is a great album. It has original songs and I'm hoping everybody will get a copy of 'Just me,'" Geronimo said.
Geronimo and Dorough will have a music video of their song "I'll Be There."
On Sunday they will be together for autograph signing and a show at the Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
Geronimo, who started her career by joining a singing contest on television, has her next concert dubbed as "The Next One" set on November 8.
"The Next One" is directed by Johnny Manahan with Louie Ocampo as the musical director.
Aside from her weekly performances on the entertainment show, ASAP ’08, viewers can also watch Geronimo in her out-of-town shows.

Sampaguita's 'Bonggahan'

Lyrics after the jump.
Bonggahan
Panahon na para magsaya
Forget mo na ang problema
Pa-dance dance, para sumigla
Rock 'n' roll hanggang umaga
Wa ko type ang magpa-cry cry
Type ko ay todo bigay
Kaya join na lang kayo
Let's all have a good time.
Refrain
Di ko say na magwala ka
Ang say ko lang ay magpabongga ka
Stop ka na sa pagdurusa
Ride ka lang sa problema.
Di ko trip ang magpasabog
Hate na hate ko ang matulog
Trip ko lang na umiksena
Heto ay sobrang pilya
Wag ka say na lang, kumadre
Bow ka lang ng bow
Pa-sing sing ka lang
Para ikaw ay sumaya.
Repeat Refrain & 1st verse
Kaya join na lang kayo
Let's all have a good time
Kaya join na lang kayo
Let's all have a good time.

Michelle Branch's 'Everywhere' Music Video

Karaoke lyrics and bio after the jump.
Turn it inside out so I can see
The part of you that's drifting over me
And when I wake you're never there
But when I sleep you're everywhere
You're everywhere
Just tell me how I got this far
Just tell me why you're here and who you are
'Cause every time I look
you're never there
And every time I sleep
you're always there
'Cause you're everywhere to me
And when I close my eyes it's you I see
You're everything I know
that makes me believe
I'm not alone
I'm not alone
I recognize the way you make me feel
It's hard to think that
you might not be real
I sense it now, the water's getting deep
I try to wash the pain away from me
Away from me
'Cause you're everywhere to me
And when I close my eyes it's you I see
You're everything I know
that makes me believe
I'm not alone
I'm not alone
I am not alone
Whoa, oh, oooh, oh
And when I touch your hand
It's then I understand
The beauty that's within
It's now that we begin
You always light my way
I hope there never comes a day
No matter where I go
I always feel you so
'Cause you're everywhere to me
And when I close my eyes it's you I see
You're everything I know
that makes me believe
I'm not alone
'Cause you're everywhere to me
And when I catch my breath
it's you I breathe
You're everything I know
that makes me believe
I'm not alone
You're in everyone I see
So tell me
Do you see me?
Michelle Jacquet Branch-Landau (born July 2, 1983) is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist. She made her debut in 2000, and released the platinum-selling albums The Spirit Room and Hotel Paper in August 2001 and June 2003 respectively. During this period, she collaborated with Santana on the single "The Game of Love", which won a Grammy Award. In 2004, she formed the musical duo The Wreckers with fellow musician Jessica Harp. Michelle Branch will release her fourth solo album, Everything Comes and Goes, in the summer of 2008.
Biography
Early life and solo career
Michelle was born seven weeks premature in Phoenix, Arizona on July 2, 1983, and was named after the Beatles' song "Michelle". Though the surname Branch is French, her father is of Irish ancestry while her mother was born in the Netherlands; her maternal grandmother was a Dutch Indonesian and was held by the Japanese in an internment camp during World War II, while her maternal grandfather was French and Indonesian.[1] She has an older half-brother, David, and a younger sister, Nicole.
Branch started taking voice lessons at a local university when she was 8 years old. She received a guitar for her fourteenth birthday from her uncle. She locked herself in her room and taught herself chords; within a few days she had composed her first song. She focused on the arts during high school, and was writing songs extensively. She attended Sedona Red Rock High School in Sedona but with the support of her parents, decided to continue her high school education through homeschooling, which allowed her to follow her dreams of becoming a singer-songwriter. She had begged her parents to allow her to leave regular high school, and one night at dinner she asked why she had to go back to school, and to her surprise, her father replied with, "Yeah, why does she?" She played at clubs for years and released her debut album Broken Bracelet independently in 2000.
She signed a record deal with Maverick Records while opening for Hanson in December 2000. Her first album under Maverick, The Spirit Room, was released in August 2001 and went on to sell over one million copies in the U.S. The single "Everywhere" became a worldwide top-twenty hit, and was followed by the U.S. top-ten hit "All You Wanted" and the top-forty single "Goodbye to You". Branch was frequently compared (both positively and negatively) to other singer-songwriters like Norah Jones, Avril Lavigne, and Vanessa Carlton who rose to prominence at around the same time as she. In 2002 Branch was the lead vocalist on Carlos Santana's song "The Game of Love", which became her first single to reach the U.S. top five; it went on to win a Grammy Award for "Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals".
In 2003, she released her second full-length album, Hotel Paper, which became her second RIAA-certified platinum album but was met with mixed reviews. The lead single "Are You Happy Now?" became another top-twenty hit for Branch in the U.S., but follow-up singles "Breathe" and "'Til I Get over You" failed to achieve substantial success. In June 2004 she hosted MTV's Faking the Video alongside Nick Lachey and JC Chasez.[2]
Branch married her bass player, Teddy Landau, 19 years her senior, in Mexico on May 23, 2004. On August 3, 2005, Branch gave birth to a 7 lb (3.2 kg). 12oz. (3.5 kg) baby girl named Owen Isabelle.
In late 2007, Branch sold her home in a Southern California gated community.[3] Branch purchased a home in the elite Belle Meade neighbourhood of Nashville in January 2008.[4]
The Wreckers
In July 2005, Branch announced the completion of an album with country singer Jessica Harp. The longtime friends and collaborators were dubbed "The Homewreckers" as a joke by Branch's husband, and they shortened it to The Wreckers. The album combined Branch's pop-rock sensibility with Harp's country-folk style. The album was originally due for release in June 2005 but was delayed because of promotional reasons surrounding Branch's pregnancy.
One of the songs Branch co-wrote with Harp for the album was featured on the original soundtrack to the WB television teen drama One Tree Hill. Branch and Harp made a brief appearance as themselves on One Tree Hill, and then went on a month-long concert tour with Gavin DeGraw. Branch has sung on the television shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer (in the episode "Tabula Rasa") and Charmed (in the episode "Centennial Charmed").
Branch closed down the message boards for The Wreckers' official website in December 2005 after being displeased by comments posted there.
The Wreckers' first single, "Leave the Pieces", was released in February 2006; the album Stand Still, Look Pretty was released that May. During this period, they joined country music stars Rascal Flatts and Gary Allan on a sold out U.S. tour.
In December 2006, the Wreckers were nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for the song "Leave the Pieces".
Branch has written songs for other artists, including one for Mandy Moore's 2007 album Wild Hope. As of 2006, her biggest hits ("Everywhere", "All You Wanted", and "Are You Happy Now?") continue to be played in recurrent rotation on CHR and Hot AC radio stations.
As of early August 2007, Branch and Jessica Harp announced on the band's official message board that they were putting the band on hold while they went forward with solo albums. Branch and Harp have confirmed however that they remain good friends.
Everything Comes and Goes
On October 31, 2007, Branch announced that she was working on a new solo album. MTV has confirmed that the album will debut in summer 2008, followed by a tour.
On April 10, 2008, at her first solo concert in almost 4 years, Branch announced the title of her fourth studio album to be Everything Comes and Goes.
Musical style
Branch writes or co-writes all of her own material (except "The Game of Love"), and her music influences are the Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Aerosmith, Patsy Cline, Cat Stevens, Stevie Nicks and Joni Mitchell.[citation needed] While her musical tastes lean more toward older musicians, she also enjoys contemporary bands such as Incubus, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Metallica, and Silverchair and current songwriters including Lisa Loeb, Sheryl Crow, and Patty Griffin. She has also expressed her admiration for classical music,[5] as well as older country music.[6][7]
Branch owns over fourteen guitars but mainly uses a Gibson Hummingbird after retiring her famous blue Taylor 614ce in 2002. In addition to the guitar, Branch plays instruments such as the piano, drums and mandolin.
Branch enjoys playing the Hummingbird more for live performances and recordings due to the fact that the sound quality is better than the Taylor. As of 2006, she has also been using an electric guitar during live performances of songs such as "Tennessee" and "Cigarettes."

is one of the hottest lines in the Chiquita song, but unless you speak Spanish or Creole Spanish, it flew over your head since it was sung in Spanish, so since I understand Spanish fluently, I've translated the entire song for you. It's a bit racy, actually, with a lot of sexual innuendo.

Chiquita
English translation after the jump.
Chorus:
How much love Chichiquita (fresh)
For this pretty girl (crazy)
How much love Chichiquita (rose)
You're what love tastes like
You're so hot, Chichiquita (fresh)
When you move really sexy (crazy)
How much love for this girl (rose)
You're what love tastes like
I want a girl
The pretty girl
I want us to have a crazy time
In the kitchen
Dance girl
Verse 1:
Chichiquita is a very pretty girl
And the guys always like to look at her
The maldita only likes to dance the cha cha
My chiquita of love
Chichiquita is a very hot girl
She's stronger than boiling water
You want her badly
Ay Chichiquita, it's hot!
Verse 2:
Chichiquita I ask you with affection
Do you feel like smoking a cigarillo?
You stare at her, but you don't talk to her
What a little boy you are!
Ay Chichiquita, what pain!
Ay guys look into her eyes
She dances all the night
And she feels alright
Bye bye chachacha is like
Chichiquita, the queen of chachacha
Chichiquita, she's beautiful
Special thanks to fellow Marianknight Serenemy for sharing her Dyesebel notebook pictures with everyone!

Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby, Lolit Solis Scandal
"Mabuti na sa part ni Piolo at Sam na pinatagal nila ito kasi na-realize ko talaga yung mistake sa parte ko. At least, nalaman ko talaga na mabubuti silang tao. Kaya maganda din ang nangyari, at least may natutunan din akong leksyon," says Lolit Solis.
Talent manager and columnist Lolit Solis has always said that if Piolo Pascual and Sam Milby were to file a letter of desistance, she will also take back what she wrote in her October 15, 2007 article in Pilipino Star Ngayon about her "Sofitel eyewitness account."
Looking back, Lolit reported that she saw Piolo and Sam whispering to each other at the poolside of Sofitel Hotel on October 12, 2007. In reaction to Lolit's report, Piolo and Sam slapped her with a P12- million libel case.
After seven months, Lolit retracted her statements in the article, saying, "There's no factual basis on my article which came out. I am extremely sorry for dragging the names of Sam Milby and Piolo Pascual. I am sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused."
Last Wednesday, May 14, the exchange deal between the two parties was finally agreed. Together with Pilipino Star Ngayon entertainment editor Veronica Samio, Lolit signed the short statement of retraction at the special hearing of Branch 55 of the Manila Regional Trial Court, in front of presiding Judge Jose A. Medoza. Sam and Piolo subsequently filed an affidavit of desistance, dropping the libel case on the spot.
Piolo said he realized that it was good thing the case didn't end badly. Sam agreed by saying that he did not want to see Lolit in jail and that he was really happy and thankful that all ended well.
In a previous PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal) report, it was said that Seiko films producer Robbie Tan was the key figure in easing the tension between the two camps. Robbie is reportedly close to Joji Alonso, Sam and Piolo's lawyer.
But after so many months, how come Lolit retracted her story only now?
"Siyempre noong una, ang feeling, di ba, na tama ako, tama ang ginagawa ko? Then, later on, after seven months, na-realize ko na baka nga mali. Yun, kaya ako, apologetic ako, nagso-sorry ako. Nagpapasalamat ako na naging understanding sila [Piolo and Sam]. Ipinakita talaga nila na Christians sila. Siguro, na-realize nila na kawawa naman yung 61 years old, umaakyat sa fourth floor ng walang elevator. Na-realize ko talaga na mababait silang tao."
Lolit also told Piolo and Sam, "Thank you talaga. Kung kailangan ninyo ang tulong ko, may maitutulong ako."
For all her age and experience, Lolit admitted that she still learned something valuable from this ordeal.
"Mabuti na sa part ni Piolo at Sam na pinatagal nila ito kasi na-realize ko talaga yung mistake sa parte ko. At least, nalaman ko talaga na mabubuti silang tao. Kaya maganda din ang nangyari, at least may natutunan din akong leksyon," said Lolit.
Later on StarTalk, Lolit celebrated her 61st birthday—her actual birthday is on May 21. The lady who orchestrated the 1994 Manila Filmfest scam has learned another lesson in life with this incident involving Piolo and Sam.
She said, "Thankful ako, kasi ilang beses na akong nakagawa ng kasalanan, e.
PEP
