It's true, the popular singer will replace Eugene Domingo's role in the upcoming movie from Regal Films. However, the role will not be changed and Ogie will play a woman in Desperadas 2. Ogie says it's a done deal already when asked about it at the taping for Celebrity Duets this past weekend.
Eugene Domingo's manager pulled her out of Desperadas 2, as well as another upcoming Regal project.

Rufa Mae Quinto will star in 'Like A Virgin', a movie being produced by Rufa Mae herself and her production company. Jon Avila stars with her, and this is Rufa Mae's big transition from box office queen to box office queen/producer. Go Rufa! Rufa Mae revealed that her long distance relationship with American boyfriend Bobby Lopez is going okay and that she's optimistic about love in the future. Jon will star in 'Like A Virgin', a movie produced by Rufa Mae's production company. Jon also says he needs to improve his Tagalog skills to get more roles.
"I have to explore more roles. At saka I really have to learn Tagalog. Mag-aaral ng Tagalog nang mabuti. With my limitations, I'm still happy with how my career is shaping right now. Pero, mahirap mag-maintain ng level of quality I have right now."
Jon plays the role of Iñaki, a rich kid who's the son of the head of a company who's very shy. He also expressed how happy he is to be working with Rufa Mae.
"Masayang kasama si Rufa Mae sa shooting. She's so nakakatawa, mabait, maalaga. Hindi ko nga naramdaman na trabaho yung shooting. I always look forward to it. 'Pag may shooting, parang social gathering lang, or shooting."

It went back to above-40 percent rating last night, 42.5 percent to be exact, after generating 30-percent ratings in the past couple of weeks. Codename: Asero is still in second place with 37.3 percent while Ako Si Kim Samsoon climbs back to No. 3 with 31.9 percent. Completing the Top 5 are GMA-7 primetime newscast 24 Oras (30.1 percent) and ABS-CBN soap Iisa Pa Lamang (25.1 percent). The rest of the Top 10 was occupied by The Singing Bee, TV Patrol World, My Girl, Pinoy Dream Academy, and Dalja's Spring.El Cuerpo del Deseo remains ABS-CBN's prize jewel with a 17.3% making it the network's highest rating daytime program, posting even higher ratings than Wowowee which clocked in at 15.8 %.

In a press release sent to PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), ang tatlong continents na pinuntahan ng cast and crew ng latest GMA Films project na ito ay Europe, Africa, at Asia.
Nagsimula ang shooting with the cast and crew traveling from the Philippines to Amsterdam, then to Milan, both by plane. Pagkatapos na mag-shoot ng mga eksena roon ay nag-train naman sila from Milan to Genoa and stopping at Venice to shoot again. Then, boarding a train again, they went to Savona; dito nakadaong ang giant Italian luxury ship, Costa Magica, kung saan nag-shooting pa sila.
Pumalaot ang cruise ship sa Naples at Palermo, Italy, then to Tunisia in Africa, Palma de Mallorca and Barcelona in Spain, at Marseilles, France. Ang huling stop ay sa Rome. Gumamit din ang I.T.A.L.Y. ng Italian actors. The rest of the shoot will be here in the Philippines.
"FIRSTS" IN PHILIPPINE MOVIES. Ayon sa press release, ang pagsu-shoot sa tatlong kontinente at sa giant luxury ship, at pag-hire ng Italian actors for the movie ay pawang mga "first" sa Philippine movie making. Ito na rin daw marahil ang grandest project ng GMA Films.
All praises si Jolens sa kanilang direktor na si Mark Reyes, who highlighted not only the scenic spots but also the most unlikely corners of each location.
"Very realistic ang approach ni Direk Mark dahil ipinapakita niya pati yung mga suluk-sulok at eskinita ng mga locations namin. Kaya tuloy mapi-feel ng mga manonood yung totoong characteristic ng isang lugar at yung mood namin sa story," 'ika ni Jolina sa press release.
GRATEFUL JOLENS. Grateful si Jolina sa GMA Films for pushing through with the movie, kahit na nag-pull-out ang original na leading man niya sa movie na si Gabby Concepcion. Grateful din daw siya kay Dennis for accepting the role na iniwan ni Gabby, kay Rufa Mae and Eugene for joining the cast, at kina Mark at Rhian na nakatrabaho na rin daw niya in the past.

"Kaya hayan, in the flesh na dinala ko si Bobby sa studio. Hindi lang flesh kundi may dugo, laman, at humihinga pa! Siguro naman titigil na ang mga nagsasabi na nag-iilusyon lang ako, ‘di ba? Maging happy na lang sila sa akin na may bagong inspirasyon ako ngayon."
At dahil sa personal na dinala ni Rufa Mae si Bobby sa Showbiz Central, doon na rin ginanap ang isang exclusive interview ni John "Sweet" Lapus kay Bobby na kasama pa si Rufa Mae pagkatapos ng show.
"Napapayag ko naman si Bobby na magpa-interview. Nahihiya nga siya kasi nga hindi naman niya mundo ang showbiz. Pero dahil nga raw ako ang nag-request, pumayag siya. DATING A CELEBRITY. Kuwento ni Rufa Mae, aksidenteng nagkakilala sila ni Bobby sa Hong Kong early this year. Nasa HK si Rufa Mae para sa isang seminar para sa kanyang travel agency samantalang si Bobby ay naka-base sa HK office ng Mattel, Inc. as finance executive.
"Ang pagkakakilala niya sa akin ay owner ako ng isang travel agency dito sa Pilipinas. Hindi niya alam na celebrity ako dito sa atin. Ayokong manggaling sa akin na artista ako. I want him to find that out for himself.
"Noong unang bisita niya sa akin dito sa Pilipinas, doon lang niya nalaman. Kasi noong mag-dinner kami sa labas, maraming lumapit sa akin at nagpa-picture. Nagtanong siya kung celebrity ba ako rito? Sinagot ko na, ‘Yes, I am.' Kaya dinala ko na siya sa mga trabaho ko. Natuwa naman siya kasi hindi niya alam na he's dating a celebrity. Parang pelikula, ‘di ba?"
Nang tanungin ng PEP si Bobby kung may iba pa siyang dine-date na babae maliban kay Rufa Mae, sinagot nito na wala. Si Rufa Mae lang daw ang dine-date niya exclusively.
"I'm not dating anybody except her," sabay ngiti ni Bobby. "I want to get to know her better and to get to know all her friends here. She has a fun job and I am looking forward for more surprises coming from her."
