Jericho Rosales Releases New Album

Jericho Rosales is releasing his self-titled debut album as a solo artist 'Jericho' under EMI Philippines, the same record label as the hugely famous rock band Bamboo. Jericho will also top-bill a drama series to be co-produced by ABS-CBN and Malaysia's Double Vision with popular Malaysian actress Carmen Soo. 'Jericho' features the new single 'Paglisan' which has already hit #1 in the Billboard music charts, and in many Metro Manila radio stations: "Singing changed my career so much. One or two years from now I’m gonna be acting again and will probably be active doing both… right now I just need to establish things properly. I got to be prepared in anything I wanna do but God is good and his timing is perfect. Singing, on the other hand, has defined my career very well. 'Paglisan' is a remake from Color It Red. The new album includes four OPM hit songs with Rosales’ own rendition of Sharon Cuneta’s 'Pangarap na Bituin' also from the teleserye of the same title. Rosales describes 'Ikaw Pa Rin' as a funny and romantic song. Also included is a remake of Joshua Kadison’s hit "Beautiful In My Eyes". Four of his original compositions from Rosales’ Jeans debut album were included: "Ngayong Gabi", "Tuwing Nakikita Ka", "Coming Out" and "Kasama Ka".








Rosales started his music career with his band Jeans. "Loose Fit" also dominated the airwaves with in Malaysia, as it was distributed by EMI Malaysia in August 2006 and was distributed in the Philippines in 2007 by EMI Philippines.

Bamboo represents Philippines in UNICEF!

Bamboo's latest hit album released in 2007 "We Stand Alone Together" is still in stores nationwide and EMI Philippines is gearing the boys up for an international release. Bamboo is the most successful rock band in Philippine history and have also recently been named as the Philippines international representative to UNICEF (The United Nations), placing them up there with such prestigious international acts as U2 and the Spice Girls, also UNICEF representatives. There's just no words to describe how spiritual their music is, it hits you, deep in your puso while you're rocking out and enjoying it at the same time. The band is made up of that great singer Bamboo Mañalac, Nathan Azarcon, Ira Cruz, and Vic Mercado. Listen to the #1 hit "Hallelujah" below. Philippine legend is that a bamboo split open, and out came the first man whose name was Malakas (Strong), and the first woman whose name was Maganda (Beautiful).
