Vanessa Hudgens' High School Graduation

Vanessa Hudgens loves being Filipina, was home schooled and says that being in the High School Musical series of movies has allowed her to live real life school experiences that she missed growing up.

"I got to experience my prom, I got to wear a cap and gown for the very first time, graduate with people who I really love, the cast. So it's been a lot of fun."

Hudgens stars in High School Musical 3: Senior Year. Vanessa also says that she doesn't regret her nude photo scandal.

"I think that everything happens for a reason and I wouldn't take back anything that I've done. I don't like talking about it because it was something that was meant to be private and I'd still like to keep it as private as I can."

Vanessa Hudgens High School Musical 3

Vanessa Hudgens' mother is Filipina, and is making Filipinos all around the world super proud of her, and the petite actress told the Boston Herald that she gladly accepted her role as Gabriela in High School Musical 3.

“One thing that drew me to it was the fact that the character was ethnic. The leading lady wasn’t the stereotypical American girl, she had a Hispanic background. That in itself brought me into the picture.”

The success of the series also surprised her.

“Little did we know we’d be able to do something that has kind of brought musicals back. I feel like it kind of disappeared for a second. People were neglecting kids in that sense. By being on TV we have gotten to bring it back in a way that is accessible for them.”

Tom Cruise is Vanessa Hudgens' new mentor

Filipina actress Vanessa Hudgens' new mentor is none other than Tom Cruise. Vanessa was taken by surprise when the world famous American actor sat her down for a career chat. Vanessa said that she was backstage at a Spice Girls show when Victoria Beckham introduced her to Tom Cruise and his wife Katie Holmes.
Wow, first Charice meets Oprah and Celine, and now Vanessa meets Tom. Now, all we need is for Isabel Preysler to meet the pope, hehe.

Hudgens said that she was speechless after Tom Cruise, however, things became 'normal' once she took time to listen to his career advice and how to deal with sudden fame.

"He was so sweet and such a nice guy... just telling me there isn't much that you can do, it's just part of your life now. So you have to accept it... He is an amazing guy," Contactmusic quoted Hudgens as saying. She added: "Victoria, Katie and Tom, they are all really great people."

Cheryl Burke Needs a Makeover Vanessa Hudgens style

Cheryl Burke was Cristian dela Fuente's partner on Dancing With The Stars, and while I'm proud that a Filipina did such a good job on that show, I cannot stand looking at her. Sorry, but she just has the ugliest hairstyle I've ever seen on a woman in my entire life, and I'm sure many of you will agree with me. I mean, it's shameful that a Filipina could have such poor taste in how she presents herself, since Filipina women are known for being some of the most beautiful women in the world. Ugly hair makes any woman look ugly, and the fact that Cheryl is not that blessed in the looks department in the first place, her ugly hair makes her look even uglier: Vanessa Hudgens, on the other hand always looks great, and beautiful hair makes any woman look breathtaking:
See the difference?

Cheryl probably thinks it looks cool and unique, and friends and family probably tell her it looks great, but it just makes her look ugly. Horribly ugly. Please, if you know someone who knows her, someone please tell her the truth that bangs looks horrible on her, and are completely out of style since the 80s. She should make her hair long and wavy like Vanessa Hudgens, and grow out her bangs, or just cut it all off, level it with the bangs, and go with a short pixie hair cut instead. Because her whole bangs thing is just horrible, it looks so ugly! Just look at it! Jesus Christ, it doesn't take a fashion expert to see an ugly haircut when it's right in front of you.

Vanessa Hudgens Neutrogena Commercial

Vanessa Hudgens is the new international spokesmodel for Neutrogena. The Filipina actress, who once said in an interview for Filipinas magazine,"I love being Filipina. There aren't many Filipina girls in the industry, so to stand up and be that girl makes me proud" even spoke in multiple languages for the ad, which is being shown all around the world in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Latin America, Canada, Australia, and of course, the US. Here's two clips of her English commercials, and a clip of her speaking in Spanish, as she is so popular in the Latin American market that she even replaced popular actress Paola Rey (of Pasion de Amor) as the spokesmodel in the Spanish-speaking world market that spans Latin America, Spain, and the 23 million plus Spanish-language market in the USA. Neutrogena is the most important endorsement deal for any young teen actress. Past actresses who've sponsored the brand include Hollywood actresses Mandy Moore, Mischa Barton, Jennifer Garner, and Alicia Silverstone. Vanessa Hudgens makes history as the first Filipina to sponsor the important lucrative brand internationally.

Now if only she would speak in Tagalog...perhaps if she gets an endorsement with a Filipino company. And I have to say, companies in the Philippines are completely insane that they're not signing her up to promote their products considering how proud Filipinos in the Philippines are of her, and are ga-ga-goo-goo over High School Musical.

Vanessa Hudgens Seventeen Cover

Vanessa Hudgens is the cover girl for the February 2008 issue of Seventeen Magazine (USA). She is also the new spokesmodel for Neutrogena in both English and Spanish-speaking markets, which basically covers the entire world as her commercial is shown all over the world. The Filipina actress even speaks in Spanish for her TV ads in Latin America, Spain, and on the Spanish-language channels in the US.
Here are some great snippets from the Filipina actress' revealing interview:

How are you feeling about the [nude picture] scandal? I’m much better now. But truthfully I don’t like talking about it. It was something that was meant to be private, and even though it isn’t anymore, I’d still like to keep it as private as I can. It was very traumatic, and I am extremely upset it happened. I hope all my fans can learn from my mistake and make smart decisions. But I wouldn’t have been able to get through it if it wasn’t for my family, friends, and fans, who supported me all along the way.

Who told you the photos had been leaked? I found out from my manager. We heard some story was going to break in the tabloids, and I was like, What?!? A few days later, the picture came out while I was on vacation in Australia. Thank God, I wasn’t home–it would have sucked if I was at home. So I got to be away from L.A. for about a millisecond. But when I came back, it got kind of crazy.

How did you explain the situation to your mom? I was just open with her, and she was just so cute. She was like, “Well, everyone can be naked if they want to.” [Laughs] My parents are very supportive of me. And they know I’m a teenager, and yes, kids do stupid things sometimes. It’s very unfortunate because with the Internet these days, you don’t have a personal life. Nothing is private: Everyone knows everything, and they can find out everything about you. You’re not as safe as you think you are, and you have to be aware of the people you’re around.

It’s great that Zac stood by you through all this. To you, what’s the best thing about him? He always makes me happy. He literally knows exactly what to do to make me laugh.

Do you ever think about the future with Zac? No. It’s fun having a boyfriend. He’s a friend and a cute friend who you like. It’s nice. But only time will tell. I’m still young, and I have my girlfriends and I have my family. I think that it’s definitely important to have balance. I think girls can be sucked into the relationship and give too much. They like to be so into their boyfriends, you know? And you can’t do that, because you get too infatuated–and then you lose contact with your friends. It happens to a lot of girls.

Vanessa Hudgens and Eat Bulaga

Good news, Filipina actress Vanessa Hudgens has been selected as the new Neutrogena girl as she just signed a contract to sponspor the brand in a new line of commercials and print ads in the US. This is a prestigious ad campaign, and only the most popular young stars get this ad, as actresses in the past who represented Neugrogena include Mandy Moore, Kristen Kreuk, and Paola Rey (from the telenovela Pasion de Amor), and she is also the first actress of Filipino descent in history to represent the prestigious brand. This is great news for her as she moves forward with her career after her recent nude pictures scandal last year. Also, I've used Neutrogena ever since I was 13 years old, and I haven't had a spot of acne since, hehe. Watch the commercial at the bottom of this post:
Eat Bulaga cast member Ariana Nogueira
The cast of Eat Bulaga was in Abu Dhabi recently to bring joy to the OFWs over there, and there's a clip of our favorite legendary comedy trio, Tito, Vic, and Señor de Leon hehe, that just brought me so much joy from watching it as they sang their hits from the 70s and the 80s from their legendary music group VST and Co. to the Pinoys there. People forget that Vic and the guys were the singers of the legendary Pinoy band and they wrote and produced many of the songs together, including Awitin Mo at Isasayaw Ko, which they sang and danced to in this wonderful clip of nostalgia, happy times, and the cha cha, so check it out, mga kaibigan! (friends)

I was born in 1983 (same as Kristine Hermosa, a year before Oyo Boy and a year after Danica) and I'm deeply emotionally attached to Tito, Vic, and J@ey because when I was a little kid of only 5 years old in Manila, they were my favorite favorite most favorite comedy group in the world, and I watched all of their movies, then we moved to the US that same year at the age of 5, and I didn't remember what their names were, but I asked my dad constantly, remember the movie I liked, Hot Dog, with the three funny guys? Rent it for me, Pa! But he couldn't find the movie at the video store and didn't know who I was talking about, and I couldn't remember their names since I was so young, so I spent my entire life feeling nostalgic about that funny Filipino comedy trio that I had forgotten, and I grew up and I forgot about it, and I watched American TV almost my whole life, until 2004 when I started to rediscover my Filipino heritage, which meant, watching Filipino movies and TV shows, and I turn the channel one day to Channel 18 in L.A., and there's Eat Bulaga, and I'm like, I know this guy, he looks familiar. And that was it! My favorite comedy trio when I was young in the 80s, they're still there and it's 2004, I couldn't believe it and I was so happy, it's like a part of my long lost Filipino childhood in Manila was awakened, and it's years later, I'm all grown up, and Tito, Vic, and J@ey are still there and making us all laugh, and that just makes me so happy on the inside, and thanks to them for all of the joy and happiness throughout the years.
