Marian Rivera will star in four movies by the end of the year: One True Love from GMA and Regal, Desperadas 2, Shake Rattle and Roll, and Scaregiver. How does Marian feel about being second choice to play the role?
"Hindi po problema sa akin kung may nauna mang pinili to play the role of Nieves," says Marian. "Ang mahalaga, sa akin nila ipinagkatiwala ang role. Saka maganda po, makakasama ko ulit dito si Robert Villar, ‘yon pong batang kasama ko sa Dyesebel, si Buboy. Miss ko na rin po siya dahil nawala na ang character niya bago pa natapos ang Dyesebel."
And what's in store for Marian's fans who watch the movie?
"May suspense, comedy, at pagka-fantasy po ang ‘Nieves,' pero hindi po ako engkantada. Normal po akong tao rito at asawa ko nga si Pekto. Isa po akong engkanto slayer kaya sa akin sila humihingi ng tulong na labanan ang mga tikbalang, kapre, at kung anu-ano pang nananakot sa aming lugar. Reunion ko rin po ito kay Direk Mike Tuviera at ilang araw na akong nakapag-shooting ng movie."
Marian will also revive her popular role in Desperadas 2, the sequel to Regal Films' Desperadas, which was fantastic by the way and really showcased Marian Rivera's amazing acting skills in comedy. Marian can do drama and comedy equally as well, and I'd love to see her in more comedic roles because she's so naturally good at it, and her personality is naturally very gregarious and happy and she's a jokester in real life, so it fits.
